The Palau de la Música de València is a concert, cinema, arts, and exhibition hall in València, Valencia situated on the Turia (river), Túria river. The Palau de la Música de Valencia was designed by the architect José María García de Paredes. It was inaugurated on April 25, 1987, and features a large symphonic hall, "''Sala José Iturbi, Iturbi''", that can accommodate 1,781 spectators and a chamber hall, "Sala Joaquín Rodrigo, Rodrigo" with 417 seats. The Palau de la Música also encompasses additional facilities such as two conference rooms, Vicente Martín y Soler, Martín y Soler and Lucrezia Bori, Lucrecia Bori, and an exhibition hall. The Turia or Túria is a river in Spain, which has its source in the Montes Universales in the mountain ranges of the northwesternmost end of the Sistema Ibérico, Teruel (province), Teruel province. José Iturbi
José Iturbi Báguena (Valencia, 28 November 1895 Los Angeles, 28 June 1980) was a conductor, pianist, harpsichordist and actor from Valencia, Spain. He also appeared in several Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer musical films including ''Thousands Cheer'' (1943), '' Music for Millions'' (1944), '' Anchors Aweigh'' (1945), '' That Midnight Kiss'' (1949), and '' Three Daring Daughters'' (1948), his only leading role. Joaquín Rodrigo
Joaquín Rodrigo Vidre, 1st Marquess of the Gardens of Aranjuez (; 22 November 1901 – 6 July 1999), was a Spanish composer and a virtuoso pianist. He is best known for composing the '' Concierto de Aranjuez'', a cornerstone of the classical guitar repertoire. Life Rodrigo was born in Sagunto, Province of Valencia. At the age of three, he lost his sight completely after contracting diphtheria. At the age of eight he began to study solfège, piano, and violin and from the age of 16 he studied harmony and composition. Vicente Martín Y Soler
Anastasio Martín Ignacio Vicente Tadeo Francisco Pellegrin Martín y Soler (2 May 175430 January or 10 February 1806) was a Spanish composer of opera and ballet. Although relatively obscure now, in his own day he was compared favorably with his contemporary and admirer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as a composer of opera buffa. In his time he was called "Martini lo spagnuolo" ("Martini the Spaniard"); in modern times, he has been called "the Valencian Mozart". Lucrezia Bori (24 December 1887 – 14 May 1960) was a Spanish operatic singer, a lyric soprano and a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Opera. Biography Lucrezia Bori was born on 24 December 1887, in Valencia, Spain. Her real name was Lucrecia Borja y González de Riancho. Her father was an officer in the Spanish army. Her family were descended from the influential family of the Italian Renaissance, the House of Borgia and she herself was named after her ancestor, Lucrezia Borgia. Luis Antonio García Navarro (30 April 1941 in Chiva, Valencian Community, Spain – 10 October 2001 in Madrid, Spain), was a Spanish conductor. The Valencia Orchestra (, ) is a symphony orchestra in Valencia, Spain. The Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana (, English translation 'Orchestra of the Region of Valencia'), is a Spanish orchestra based in Valencia, Spain, Valencia.
