William Paca
William Paca ( or ; October 31, 1740 – October 13, 1799) was a Founding Father of the United States who was a signatory to the Continental Association and the United States Declaration of Independence. He was a Maryland delegate to the First Continental Congress and the Second Continental Congress, governor of Maryland, and a district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. The Pan American Christian Academy, or PACA, is a Protestant American school in São Paulo, Brazil. Since 1960, the school provides an American-style of education that is based on a Christian foundation. PACA has served the local and international community of São Paulo, Brazil by offering a college preparatory education. Lake Paca ( Spanish: ''Laguna de Paca'') is a lake in Peru. It is located north of the historic town of Jauja, which was once the first capital of Peru. The lake is habitat for a variety of flora and fauna. The lake is fed from springs. Geography Lake Paca is one of the three lakes in the Mantaro River Valley in the central highlands of Peru formed by high Cordillera ranges, which has three tributary valleys known as the Masma, the Paca and the Yanamarca. Laguna Paca is the only lake in the Paca valley which has water throughout the year. However, floating mats of rushes and sedges cover the south side of the lake. The lake itself does not drain out, as like the other lakes in the valleys, has been “filled up by interglacial fill, and alluvial and eolian sedimentation.” The river that originates in this valley, is called the Mantaro River. Francisca Raquel Navas Gardela, better known as Paca Navas (1883–1971), was a Honduran journalist, writer and feminist. She founded the first feminist journal in Honduras and was a member of the first suffragette organization. She and her husband spent most of their lives in exile because of their liberal leanings. Her most productive writing period was during her Guatemalan exile from 1945 to 1951. Biography Francisca Raquel Navas Gardela better known as Paca Navas was born on March 23, 1883, in Juticalpa, Olancho, Honduras to José María Navas and Francisca Gardela de Navas. In 1900, she married the attorney, intellectual and journalist Adolfo Miralda. He can also be heard weekly as Bernie Taupin's sidekick/producer on Bernie Taupin's American Roots Radio on SiriusXM's The Loft. He is the son of Philadelphia DJ George Thomas. Pača () is a village and municipality in the Rožňava District in the Košice Region of middle-eastern Slovakia. History In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1338.
