Pablo Álvarez (sport Shooter)
Pablo Damián Álvarez (born April 20, 1978 in Chivilcoy) is an Argentine sport shooter. He produced a career tally of two medals (one silver and one bronze) at the 1999 and 2003 Pan American Games, and was selected to compete for Argentina in two editions of the Olympic Games (2000 and 2004). Having started shooting at the age of ten, Alvarez also serves as a full-time member of General Jose de San Martin Shooting Club in his native Chivilcoy, under his personal coach Ruben Giannone. Alvarez' Olympic debut came as a 22-year-old at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, where he shared a 31st place tie with three other shooters in the air rifle, finished 49th in the rifle prone, and rounded out his program to 33rd in the rifle three positions, accumulating total scores of 586, 582, and 1,150 points respectively.
