Pablo Javier García Lafluf (born 15 April 1999) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Plaza Colonia. Career Club García began his career in his homeland of Uruguay, Liverpool were his first club. He was an unused substitute for a Uruguayan Primera División fixture with Montevideo Wanderers on 6 February 2016, which preceded his professional debut on 13 February during an away loss versus Plaza Colonia. After ten further appearances in all competitions across three campaigns, García departed at the conclusion of 2017 after rejecting a new contract with Liverpool. In January 2018, García left to join Argentine football by signing for River Plate of the Argentine Primera División. A year later, García returned to Uruguay with 2018 runner-ups Nacional. The 2019 Liga Profesional de Primera División season, also known as the Campeonato Uruguayo 2019, was the 116th season of Uruguay's top-flight football league, and the 89th in which it is professional. The season was named as "100 Años de Racing Club de Montevideo" and was originally scheduled to begin on 9 February but its start was pushed back for one week to 16 February. The season ended on 15 December with Nacional winning their forty-seventh title by beating Peñarol in the semifinal. Peñarol were the defending champions, having won back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018. The 2018–19 Argentine Primera División – Superliga Argentina (officially the Superliga Quilmes Clásica for sponsorship reasons) was the 129 season of top-flight professional football in Argentina. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana, also known as Copa Sudamericana (; ), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL, the governing body of football in South America, since 2002. It is the second-most prestigious club competition in South American football. CONCACAF clubs were invited between 2004 and 2008.
