Pakistan Super League
The Pakistan Super League (PSL), also known as HBL PSL for sponsorship reasons, is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in Pakistan, organised by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Founded by the PCB in 2015, the league features six city-based franchise teams. Instead of operating as an association of independently owned teams, the league is a single entity in which each franchise is owned and controlled by the investors. Each team plays the group stage matches in a double round robin format and the top four teams with the most points qualify for the playoffs, culminating in the final. There have been ten seasons of the league. Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars are the most successful teams, by winning the title three times each. Pasadena Short Line
The Pasadena Short Line was a passenger railway line of the Pacific Electric Railway. It ran between Downtown Los Angeles and Downtown Pasadena, California, through Eastside Los Angeles along the foot of the eastern San Rafael Hills to the western San Gabriel Valley. It was in service under the company between 1902 until 1951, though it had operated under different companies back to its beginnings as a horsecar line. The route, designated by the company as line 2, was the key component of the company's Northern Subdivision. History The route began as a horsecar line. Parallel-strand lumber (PSL) is a form of engineered wood made from parallel wood strands bonded together with adhesive. It is used for beams, headers, columns, and posts, among other uses. The strands in PSL are clipped veneer elements having a least dimension of not more than and an average length of at least 300 times this least dimension (around ). It is a member of the structural composite lumber (SCL) family of engineered wood products. The design strength of PSL is greater than that of sawn lumber as the strands are glued together directionally and under high pressure. This results in a much denser and stronger material. Photostimulated luminescence (PSL) is the release of stored energy within a phosphor by stimulation with visible light, to produce a luminescent signal. X-rays may induce such an energy storage. A plate based on this mechanism is called a photostimulable phosphor (PSP) plate (or imaging plate) and is one type of X-ray detector used in projectional radiography. Creating an image requires illuminating the plate twice: the first exposure, to the radiation of interest, "writes" the image, and a later, second illumination (typically by a visible-wavelength laser) "reads" the image. Port Sunlight railway station serves the village of Port Sunlight in Merseyside, England. The station is situated on the Chester and Ellesmere Port branches of the Wirral line, part of the Merseyrail network. History Port Sunlight station is on the former Birkenhead Railway and opened as Port Sunlight Halt for workmen only on 1 May 1914. It became a public station (Port Sunlight) on 9 May 1927. The Social Liberal Party ( ; ), abbreviated to PSL, is an opposition liberal political party in Tunisia. The party is a member of the Liberal International and the Africa Liberal Network. The party was founded in September 1988 under the name "Social Party for Progress" (), but was renamed in October 1993 to reflect its liberal ideology. At the 1999 election, it won election for the first time, winning its first two seats in the Chamber of Deputies. They retained these two seats at the 2004, when its candidate Mohamed Mouni Béji also won 0.8% at the presidential elections. In 2005, Mongi Khamassi, one of the party's founders, split to form the Green Party for Progress. The Social Liberal Party (''Partidul Social Liberal'') was a liberal political party in Moldova, led by Oleg Serebrian. At the legislative elections, 6 March 2005, the party was part of the Electoral Bloc Democratic Moldova (''Blocul Electoral Moldova Democrată''), that won 28.4% of the popular vote and 34 out of 101 seats. Inside the Bloc, the party won three seats. After the elections, the Bloc fell apart in three parliamentary groups of the constituent parties. In 2001, Oleg Serebrian released a manifest with the intention to found a social liberal party. This initiative was joined by the Christian Democratic League of Women and the National Youth League of Moldova. In 2002 the Party of Democratic Forces merged into the party. The Social Liberal Party (, PSL) was a far-right political party in Brazil, that merged with the Democrats and founded the Brazil Union. Founded in 1994 as a social-liberal political party, the PSL was registered on the Superior Electoral Court in 1998. In January 2018, former Social Christian Party politician Jair Bolsonaro joined the party and later converted it into an economically liberal, Brazilian nationalist, radically anti-communist and social conservative party. The original name remained after the ideological shift, and after Livres (the party's original main wing) left the party and formed their own political movement to continue the party's original goals.
