The Basque Nationalist Party–Basque Solidarity alliance ( English for ''Partido Nacionalista Vasco–Eusko Alkartasuna'') was the electoral coalition formed by the Basque Nationalist Party (PNV) and Eusko Alkartasuna (EA) to contest local and regional elections in the Basque Country (as PNV–EA) and Navarre (as EA–PNV) between 1999 and 2006. It also contested the 1999 European Parliament election. 2001 Basque Regional Election
A regional election was held in the Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country on Sunday, 13 May 2001, to elect the 7th Basque Parliament, Parliament of the Autonomous communities of Spain, autonomous community. All 75 seats in the Parliament were up for election. 2005 Basque Regional Election
The 2005 Basque regional election was held on Sunday, 17 April 2005, to elect the 8th Basque Parliament, Parliament of the Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Autonomous Community. All 75 seats in the Parliament were up for election. The electoral coalition Basque Nationalist Party–Eusko Alkartasuna, Basque Solidarity (PNV–EA) won 29 seats, the Socialist Party of the Basque Country–Basque Country Left (PSE–EE) came second with 18 seats, the People's Party (Spain), People's Party (PP) came in third with 15 seats. Basque Nationalist Party
The Basque Nationalist Party ( , EAJ; , PNV; , PNB; EAJ-PNV), officially the Basque National Party in English, is a Basque nationalist and regionalist political party. The party is located in the centre of the political spectrum. It has been described as Christian democratic, with social democratic and conservative-liberal factions. Eusko Alkartasuna
Eusko Alkartasuna (; ; ; ) is a Basque nationalist and social-democratic political party operating in Spain and France. The Basque language name means ''Basque Solidarity'' and abbreviated as EA. The party describes itself as a " Basque nationalist, democratic, popular, progressive and non-denominational party". The party has adopted the slogan "Euskal Sozialdemokrazia" ("Basque social democracy"). According to their statute, they are striving to achieve "full national and social freedom in and for the Basque Country". Begoña Errazti (born 22 August 1957) is a Spanish politician. She is a leading member of the Basque Solidarity (''Eusko Alkartasuna'') party, which is associated with Basque nationalism and Social democratic policies.
