Pisces-class Deep Submergence Vehicle
''Pisces-''class submersibles are three-person research deep-submergence vehicles designed and built by Hyco International Hydrodynamics of North Vancouver (district municipality), North Vancouver in British Columbia with a maximum operating depth of 2,000 m (6,560 ft). The vehicles have multiple view ports and sample collecting, environmental sensing, and instrument placement capabilities. The Submarine hull#Pressure hull, pressure hull has a 7 ft (2.1 m) inside diameter and is made of HY-80, HY-100 steel with three forward-looking Poly(methyl methacrylate), acrylic windows, 6 in (15 cm) in diameter. Designed by Allan Trice, the ''Pisces'' series of submersibles were representative of crewed submersibles built in the late 1960s and were proven workhorses in offshore exploration and oceanography, oceanographic research. ''Pisces II'' was the first production model of the design and was completed in 1968, with nine more ''Pisces'' submarines built befor ...

Pisces II
Pisces II (Psc II) is a dwarf spheroidal galaxy situated in the Pisces constellation and discovered in 2010 in the data obtained by the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. The galaxy is located at the distance of about 180 kpc (kiloparsecs) from the Sun. It is classified as a dwarf spheroidal galaxy (dSph) meaning that it has an elongated shape with the half-light radius of about 60 pc and ratio of the axis of about 5:3. Pisces II is one of the smallest and faintest satellites of the Milky Way—its integrated luminosity is about 10,000 times that of the Sun ( absolute magnitude of about −5), which corresponds to the luminosity of an average globular cluster. The stellar population of Pisces II consists mainly of moderately old stars formed 10–12 billion years ago. The metallicity of these old stars is low at , which means that the percentage of their mass that consists of "heavy metals" is no more than of the corresponding percentage in the Sun. In 2016, follow-up work on ...

Pisces (astrology)
Pisces (; ; ''Ikhthyes'', Latin for "fishes") is the twelfth and final astrological sign in the zodiac. It is a mutable sign. It spans 330° to 360° of celestial longitude. Under the tropical zodiac, the Sun (astrology), sun transits this area between about February 19 and March 20. In classical interpretations, the symbol of the fish is derived from the ichthyocentaurs, who aided Aphrodite when she was born from the sea. According to some tropical astrologers, the current astrological age is the Age of Pisces,Nicholas Campion, (1988) ''The Book of World Horoscopes'' Aquarian Press, Wellingborough while others maintain that currently it is the Age of Aquarius. Background While the astrological sign Pisces per definition runs from ecliptic longitude 330° to 0°, this position is now mostly covered by the constellation of Aquarius due to the precession from when the constellation and the sign coincided. Today, the First Point of Aries, or the March equinox, vernal equinox, ...

Pisces (constellation)
Pisces is a constellation of the zodiac. Its vast bulk – and main asterism viewed in most European cultures per Greco-Roman antiquity as a distant pair of fishes connected by one cord each that join at an apex – are in the Northern celestial hemisphere. Its old astronomical symbol is (♓︎). Its name is Latin for "fishes". It is between Aquarius (constellation), Aquarius, of similar size, to the southwest and Aries (constellation), Aries, which is smaller, to the east. The ecliptic and the celestial equator intersect within this constellation and in Virgo (constellation), Virgo. The Sun subsolar point, passes directly overhead of the equator, on average, at approximately this point in the sky, at the March equinox. The right ascension/declination 00 is located within the boundaries of Pisces. Features The March equinox is currently located in Pisces, due south of Psc, and, due to precession, slowly drifting due west, just below the western fish towards Aquari ...

Pisces Overdensity
The Pisces Overdensity is a clump of stars in the Milky Way's halo, which may be a disrupted dwarf spheroidal galaxy. It is situated in the Pisces constellation and was discovered in 2009 by analysis of distribution of RR Lyrae stars in the data obtained by the Sloan Digital Sky Survey's data. The galaxy is located at the distance of about 80 kpc from the Sun and moves towards it with a speed of about 75 km/s. The Pisces Overdensity is one of the faintest satellites of the Milky Way. Its mass is estimated to be at least 105 Solar masses. However it has a large size of about several degrees (around 1 kpc) and may be in a transitional phase between a gravitationally bound galaxy and completely unbound system. The Pisces Overdensity is located near the plane, where the Magellanic Clouds The Magellanic Clouds (''Magellanic system'' or ''Nubeculae Magellani'') are two irregular dwarf galaxies in the southern celestial hemisphere. Orbiting the Milky Way galaxy, t ...

Pisces Dwarf
The Pisces Dwarf, also known as Pisces I, is an irregular dwarf galaxy that is part of the Local Group. The galaxy, taking its name from the constellation Pisces where it appears, is suspected of being a satellite galaxy of the Triangulum Galaxy (M33). It displays a blueshift, as it is approaching the Milky Way The Milky Way or Milky Way Galaxy is the galaxy that includes the Solar System, with the name describing the #Appearance, galaxy's appearance from Earth: a hazy band of light seen in the night sky formed from stars in other arms of the galax ... at 287  km/s. It may be transition-type galaxy, somewhere between dwarf spheroidal and dwarf irregular. Alternatively, it may be a rare, but statistically acceptable, version of one of the two types. History It was discovered by Valentina Karachentseva in 1976. Star formation history Apparently, the star formation rate in the Pisces Dwarf has been declining for the past 10 billion years. Pisces (Chinese Astronomy)
The modern constellation Pisces lies across two of the quadrants symbolized by the Black Tortoise of the North (北方玄武, ''Běi Fāng Xuán Wǔ'') and White Tiger of the West (西方白虎, ''Xī Fāng Bái Hǔ''), and Three Enclosures (三垣, ''Sān Yuán''), that divide the sky in traditional Chinese uranography. The name of the western constellation in modern Chinese is 雙魚座 (''shuāng yú zuò''), which means "the pair of fish constellation". Fish
A fish (: fish or fishes) is an aquatic animal, aquatic, Anamniotes, anamniotic, gill-bearing vertebrate animal with swimming fish fin, fins and craniate, a hard skull, but lacking limb (anatomy), limbs with digit (anatomy), digits. Fish can be grouped into the more basal (phylogenetics), basal jawless fish and the more common jawed fish, the latter including all extant taxon, living cartilaginous fish, cartilaginous and bony fish, as well as the extinct placoderms and acanthodians. In a break to the long tradition of grouping all fish into a single Class (biology), class (Pisces), modern phylogenetics views fish as a paraphyletic group. Most fish are ectotherm, cold-blooded, their body temperature varying with the surrounding water, though some large nekton, active swimmers like white shark and tuna can hold a higher core temperature. Many fish can communication in aquatic animals#Acoustic, communicate acoustically with each other, such as during courtship displays. The stud ...

Pisces (band)
Pisces was an American psychedelic rock band formed in Rockford, Illinois, in 1967. During the band's existence, they recorded two singles and an album's worth of unreleased material before disbanding in 1970. In 2009, the Numero Group released the album ''A Lovely Sight'', which compiles Pisces' songs from the original studio sessions. Highlighted by the singing of vocalist Linda Bruner, the record label distributed a follow-up EP focused exclusively on her previously-unreleased studio work. History A loose affiliation of musicians, Pisces' core members were Paul DiVenti (keyboards, vocals) and Jim Krein (lead guitar), who both originally partnered together to record a promo single in 1967. Krein visited San Francisco in the same year, becoming immersed in the city's psychedelic music scene, and returned to form the band Pisces with DiVenti, as well as Dale Taylor (rhythm guitar, vocals), Carl Van Laningham (drums), and Red Balderama (banjo, bass guitar).
