"Outlines" is a song recorded by Dutch record producer and DJ Mike Mago and Canadian synthpop group Dragonette. It was released as a single on 29 August 2014 by Spinnin' Records. Music video The music video for "Outlines" premiered on 15 August 2014. The video shows a blurred young woman in a leotard dancing inside of an abandoned building. While the woman dances, she produces outlines of herself that show her previous dance moves. Mike Mago
Michiel Thomassen, stage name Mike Mago, is a Dutch DJ, music producer and record label owner. Biography In 2010, Mago founded independent dance label BMKLTSCH RCRDS in his hometown of Utrecht, releasing EPs from electronic artists such as Mason. In 2014, Mago collaborated with the Canadian electropop act Dragonette on the joint single " Outlines" under Spinnin' Records. The song peaked at 26th on the Dutch charts & 18th in Belgium. The song also reached number two on the UK Dance Chart. He has also released a few solo singles, including "The Show", "Man Hands", and "Hey!". In 2015, Mago performed live at Ministry of Sound in January and Creamfields in August. He returned to Spinnin' Records in August with the single "Deeper Love". Mago currently lives in Amsterdam. Spinnin' Records is a Dutch electronic music record label founded in 1999 by Eelko van Kooten and Roger de Graaf. In September 2017, Warner Music Group acquired Spinnin' Records for over $100 million. Background Van Kooten is the son of former Dutch radio DJ and businessman Willem van Kooten, and initially worked in the publishing business of his father. Together with Roger de Graaf, a former employee of the specialist dance retailer Rhythm Import, van Kooten formed Spinnin' Records in 1999. In the beginning, they concentrated on the pressing of vinyl for artists. Spinnin' Records hosts 25 active sub-labels alongside their main imprint; the majority linked to a specific artist. Dragonette Songs
Dragonette is the stage name of Canadian singer-songwriter Martina Sorbara. Originally an electronic music band from Toronto, Ontario, formed in 2005, the band consisted of Sorbara with her husband Dan Kurtz as bassist and producer (also in The New Deal) and drummer Joel Stouffer. Dragonette released a self-titled EP in 2005 before being signed to Mercury Records and relocating to London, where they recorded and released their debut studio album, '' Galore'', in August 2007 to moderate critical appreciation. A second studio album, ''Fixin to Thrill'', was released in September 2009. The group's third studio album, '' Bodyparts'', was released in September 2012 and their fourth, ''Royal Blues'', followed in November 2016.
