Outlandish
Outlandish is a hip-hop music group based in Denmark. Formed in 1997, it consisted of Isam Bachiri (born in Denmark and of Berber background), (born in Denmark and of Pakistani background), and (born in Honduras and of Cuban and Honduran descent). All three members are religious, with Isam and Waqas being Muslims and Lenny being Catholic. The group disbanded in 2017 as each member wanted to pursue personal projects. In 2019 band members Waqas and Lenny brought back the band as a duo while Isam continued to pursue a solo career. Outlandish has since released two singles and are currently working on a new album which is set to be released in April 2020. (this needs updating) Career Their first single "Pacific to Pacific" was used in connection with an Amnesty International charity event. Aïcha
"Aïcha" (; ; ar, عائشة, Latn, ar, ʿāʾisha, ; arq, عايشة) is a song written by French singer-songwriter Jean-Jacques Goldman, performed by Algerian raï artist Khaled. In 1996, the song was released as a single containing two versions: a French version and a bilingual version sung in both French and Arabic. The Arabic lyrics were written by Khaled. Isam Bachiri
Isam Bachiri (Arabic: عصام بشيري - born August 1, 1977) is a Danish vocalist, rapper and songwriter formerly of the hip hop group Outlandish. As of recent years, he is a solo artist. Early life Isam Bachiri is a Muslim of Riffian descent born in 1977 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Bachiri came into contact with music in his youth through the developing hip hop scene and subculture in America. Career Between 1997 and 2017 Bachiri joined Waqas Ali Qadri and Lenny Martinez to form the Danish hip-hop group Outlandish, drawing upon the influences of their respective ethnic heritage, and in particular the Islamic faith of two of the band members.
