Ruby Lee (Malaysian)
Datuk Ruby Lee was the former secretary general for the Malaysian Red Crescent Society, serving the post for 32 years from 1965 to 1996. She joined the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in 1953, and was one of the longest-serving secretary generals for a humanitarian organisation in the world. Lee served through four Prime Ministers - Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Abdul Razak, Tun Hussein Onn and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed. Work Ruby Lee helmed the national society through some of the country’s most critical situations including the May 13 riots and collapse of the Highland Towers. Tan Sri Zainuddin bin Maidin ( Jawi: زين الدين بن ميدين; 26 June 1939 – 14 December 2018) was a Malaysian politician and the former Information Minister in the Malaysian cabinet representing United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition government.
