Bernt Olufsen
Bernt Olufsen (born 11 February 1954), is a Norwegian newspaper editor. He was born in Trondheim. He worked in ''Adresseavisen'' from 1975 to 1979, and was then employed in ''Verdens Gang'' (VG). After a period as subeditor he was promoted to editor in 1989, and was their editor-in-chief from 1994 to 2011. He was then hired as an editor in Schibsted. He has also been a board member of the Norwegian Union of Journalists from 1983 to 1986 and the Association of Norwegian Editors from 1995 to 1999. From 2013 he has chaired Polaris Media Polaris Media ASA is a media group which owns thirty newspapers in Norway. Based in Trondheim, the group was established in 2008. Jørgen Olufsen
Jørgen Olufsen was a Danish politician. Olufsen built Jørgen Olufsen's House, Denmark's best preserved merchant's mansion in the Renaissance style. The son of the Horsens merchant, Hans Felthuus, and his wife, Sidsel Jørgensdatter, he was named after his grandfather, Jørgen Olufsen, who was mayor of Horsens. He moved to Aalborg where he married Maren Pops, the daughter of Mayor Povl Pops. Olufsen younger half-brother, the merchant Jens Bang, built his own mansion, Jens Bang's House. Olufsen served as town councillor in 1598 and became mayor of Aalborg in 1618. Olufsen's term as mayor was set with difficulties. In 1624, he was confronted with a peasants' revolt as a result of hard times and the risk of starvation. Ole Olufsen
Ole Olufsen (24 January 1865 – 13 December 1929) was a Danish military officer and explorer. He made several notable expeditions in the 1890s to the Emirate of Bukhara, including the Pamir Mountains. He also served as Secretary of the Royal Danish Geographical Society. Olufsen was a proponent of the idea that the peoples of the Pamirs retained traits of Avestan culture, a notion borrowed from the works of Wilhelm Geiger and Karoly Jeno Ujfalvy de Mezo-Kovesd, and that the region was still populated by adherents of Zoroastrianism.
