Olof Hanson (politician)
Olof Hanson (3 June 1882 – 4 June 1952) was a Liberal party member of the House of Commons of Canada. He was born in Tännäs, Sweden and became a businessman and lumberman. He was first elected to Parliament at the Skeena riding in the 1930 general election then re-elected in 1935 and 1940. After completing his third term, the 19th Canadian Parliament, Hanson did not seek re-election in 1945 1945 marked the end of World War II and the fall of Nazi Germany and the Empire of Japan. Tännäs () is a village and parish in Härjedalen, Sweden Sweden, formally the Kingdom of Sweden,The United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names states that the country's formal name is the Kingdom of SwedenUNGEGN World Geographical Names, Sweden./ref> is a Nordic country located on .... In 2015, it had a population of 140. Tännäs Church (''Tännäs kyrka'') was built between 1840 and 1851, underwent renovation in 1855 and was inaugurated on October 10, 1858. The drawings were made by architect Johan Adolf Hawerman (1812–1885) and construction was led by builder Johan Nordell. In 1984, a thorough renovation was carried out wherein the original colors were produced. These had been painted over 1958. References External links
