Ogwu James Onoja , SAN, (born 19 February 1968) is a legal practitioner and notary public with the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Idah is a town in Kogi State, Nigeria, on the eastern bank of the Niger River in the middle belt region of Nigeria. Kogi State is a state in the North Central region of Nigeria, bordered to the west by the states of Ekiti and Kwara, to the north by the Federal Capital Territory, to the northeast by Nasarawa State, to the northwest by Niger State, to the southwest by the Edo and Ondo states, to the southeast by the states of Anambra and Enugu, and to the east by Benue State. The Nigerian Law School is an educational institution set up by the Government of Nigeria in 1962 to provide a Nigerian legal education to foreign-trained lawyers, and to provide practical training for aspiring Legal Practitioners in Nigeria. Until the school was established, legal practitioners in Nigeria had received the requisite training in England and had been called to the English Bar. Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen (born 22 December 1950) is a Nigerian jurist who served as Chief Justice of Nigeria from 2017 to 2019. Before joining the Supreme Court, he was a judge in Cross River State and a justice of the Court of Appeal.
