Oğuz Savaş
Oğuz Savaş (born 13 July 1987) is a Turkish former professional basketball player. Standing at , he plays the center position. He has also represented the senior Turkey national basketball team. Professional career Oğuz Savaş made his professional debut in Ülkerspor when he was 19. That year, he helped his team crush their way to the league championship. Savaş contributed 6.0 points and 3.2 rebound in his first season. When Ülkerspor merged with Fenerbahçe, Oğuz Savaş also became part of the new team. He has been a consistent and successful player for Fenerbahçe ever since. On 26 March 2015, Savaş scored 7 points against Unicaja Malaga and reached 1000 career EuroLeague points. FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship
The FIBA U18 EuroBasket is the new name for the FIBA U18 European Championship, originally known as the FIBA European Championship for Juniors. It is a men's youth basketball competition that was inaugurated with the 1964 edition. It was held biennially through the 2002 edition. From the 2004 edition onward, it has been held every year. Basketball At The 2013 Mediterranean Games
The basketball tournament at the 2013 Mediterranean Games in Mersin took place between 18 June and 25 June. The men's tournament was held at the Servet Tazegül Arena. A women's tournament was also planned, but was cancelled because too few teams applied. Participating nations The following nations applied to compete in the men's tournament. Albania and Greece declared the withdrawal of their teams from the Games on May 10, 2013. Algeria national basketball team, Algeria will be participating in place of Albania. At least six nations competing is the requirement for the tournament to be held. 2013 Mediterranean Games
The 2013 Mediterranean Games (), officially known as the XVII Mediterranean Games () and commonly known as Mersin 2013, was an international multi-sport event held from 20 to 30 June 2013 in Mersin, Turkey. Mersin was announced as the host city at the General Assembly of the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (CIJM) on 23 February 2011. Mersin is the second city in Turkey after İzmir to host the Mediterranean Games. All 24 member National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of the ICMG participated in the Games. The Mediterranean Games is a multi-sport event organised by the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (CIJM). It is held every four years among athletes from countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea in Africa, Asia and Europe. The 2010 FIBA World Championship was the 16th FIBA World Championship, the international basketball world championship contested by the List of men's national basketball teams, men's national teams. The Turkey men's national basketball team () represents Turkey in international basketball tournaments. They are governed by the Turkish Basketball Federation. Their nickname is the ''12 Dev Adam'', meaning 12 Giant Men. Turkey has competed at every major international basketball tournament.
