Ozolmuiža Manor
Ozolmuiža Manor (, ) is an Early Classicism style manor house built for Count George Johann von Mellin at the end of the 18th century in Brīvzemnieki Parish, Limbaži Municipality, in the Vidzeme region of Latvia. History Ozolmuiža Manor was a knight's manor (fideicommiss) in Livonia, Kreis Wolmar, Dikļi parish. It is currently located in the village of Ozolmuiža in Limbaži Municipality, Latvia. The first records indicate that in 1334 Korff became manor owner. Originally it was side manor of the Carlsberg Manor. Heinrich Korwen inherited it from the House of Ungern-Sternberg. In 1521, Heinrich von Ungern sold the manor to his sisters for 6,000 marks. In 1542 manors were divided and Ozoli got the children of his married sister Elisabeth, by name Rosenid. Of these sons, only Kersten survived the manor, who also bequeathed it to his son Jürgen. His daughter Gertrud took possession of the manor by in 1648. Tiesenhausen
The House of Tiesenhausen is an old Baltic-German noble family. The origins of the family are in Lower Saxony. During the Baltic crusades they settled in Livonia in the first half of the 12th century. Bishops Albert of Riga and Herman of Tartu had a sister whose husband Engelbertus de Tisenhuse was the progenitor of the family in the Baltic. After some time in southern Livonia in the early stages of occupation, Engelbertus joined his brother-in-law bishop Herman to obtain the northern Livonian country of Ugaunia around Otepää and Tartu. It was Ugaunia where the family held its main early properties and positions. Engelbertus' son married a daughter of the castellan of Koknese in Latgale and through this marriage, the family claims descent from indigenous princes of the Latgalians. Red złoty (; also known as Polish ducats or Florin (Italian coin), florins) refers to circulating gold coins minted in the Kingdom of Poland (1385–1569), Kingdom of Poland (later, the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth) from 1526 to 1831. Whereas ''złoty'' "(adj.) gold(en)" could simply refer to the colour, ''czerwony'' (red) specified the material as gold. Background The earliest minting of Polish gold coins dates from the 14th century (1320s and 1330s) and the reign of Władysław I the Elbow-high.
