Overton, Missouri
Overton is an unincorporated community in northeast Cooper County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The community is adjacent to the south edge of the Missouri River floodplain. Missouri Route 98 passes through the community and I-70 Interstate 70 (I-70) is a major east–west Interstate Highway in the United States that runs from I-15 near Cove Fort, Utah, to I-695 and Maryland Route 570 (MD 570) in Woodlawn, just outside Baltimore, Maryland. I-70 appr ... passes approximately 1/2 mile to the south. Boonville is eight miles to the west and Wooldridge is four miles to the southeast adjacent to the Cooper- Moniteau county line. Boonville, Missouri
Boonville is a city and the county seat of Cooper County, Missouri, United States. The population was 7,964 at the 2020 census. The city was the site of a skirmish early in the American Civil War, Civil War, on July 17, 1861. Union forces defeated the Missouri State Guard in the first Battle of Boonville. Wooldridge is a village in northeastern Cooper County, Missouri, United States. The population was 61 at the 2010 census. History Wooldridge was laid out in 1901. The village was named for Dr. Wooldridge, the original owner of the town site.
