Ovais Mangalwala
Ovais Mangalwala ( ur, ; born 18 August 1977), is Pakistani television host, writer, and producer. He is best known for hosting the satirical Express News program "Kaha Sunaa Maaf" from 2012 to 2017. Mangalwala currently hosts Hum News morning show Subah Say Agay. Early life Ovais was born and raised in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan in a Cutchi Memon family to Tanveer Hussain and Shaukat Ara Tanveer. He is married to Hina Ovais and has two sons and one daughter. He attended University of Karachi to complete Masters in Computer Science degree, he also did Master of Business Administration from Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology. Later he completed a diploma in theatre studies from National Academy of Performing Arts located in Karachi. Career Ovais started his career with Dawn News in 2007 as associate producer. Sindhis ( sd, سنڌي Arabic script, Perso-Arabic: सिन्धी Devanagari; ) are an Indo-Aryan peoples, Indo-Aryan ethno-linguistic group, ethnic group who speak the Sindhi language and are native to the province of Sindh in Pakistan. Kutchi Memons ( gu, કચ્છી મેમોન, ur, کچھی میمن), also spelled as Cutchi Memons, are an ethnic group or caste from Kutch in Gujarat, India, who speak the Kutchi language. They are related to the Memons associated with the historic state of Kathiwar, a Muslim community of Pakistan and India, who speak the Memon language. Transliteration of name of this Memon community has now been standardized. Hence popular usage is Cutchi and Kutchi. History Kutchi Memons originally practiced Hinduism and converted to Islam under influence of Sunni pirs. Kutchi Memons migrated from Sindh to Kutch in Gujarat, a state of India, after their conversion to Islam in 1422 CE; the Memon belong to the Lohana community.
