Outlook Newspapers Group is an American newspaper and print media publisher focused on the Verdugos region of Los Angeles County. Its headquarters are in La Cañada Flintridge, California. History The history of Outlook Newspapers Group began in 1998 with the publication of the ''La Cañada Outlook'' newspaper. The ''Pasadena Outlook'' was launched in 2008. In January 2020, Outlook purchased the ''San Marino Tribune'' and the ''South Pasadena Review''. In April 2020, in response to the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ''Los Angeles Times'' announced the closure of the ''Burbank Leader'', the '' Glendale News-Press'', and the ''La Cañada Valley Sun''. Outlook Newspapers Group acquired all three newspapers shortly thereafter. As a result of this purchase, the two La Cañada Flintridge newspapers, ''La Cañada Outlook'' and ''La Cañada Valley Sun'', were merged into one publication named the ''La Cañada Outlook Valley Sun''. The ''Burbank Leader'' is a weekly newspaper published by the Outlook Newspapers Group in Burbank, California. History The ''Burbank Daily Review'' was founded in 1908, and later acquired by the Copley Press Copley Press was a privately held newspaper business, founded in Illinois but later based in La Jolla, California. Its flagship paper was ''The San Diego Union-Tribune''. History Founder Ira Clifton Copley launched Copley Press c. 1905, eventu .... Copley sold the ''Daily Review'' and the '' Glendale News Press'' to Morris Newspapers in 1974; however Morris sold off the papers two years later. Ingersoll Publications bought the papers in 1980. Since its purchase by Outlook Newspapers Group in 2020, the ''Glendale News-Press office has been located in La Cañada Flintridge. It has been called the newspaper of record for Glendale. History Early years ''Glendale News'', a weekly newspaper, was founded on May 1, 1905, by E. M. McClure and J. F. Boughton.
