Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi A.Ş., also known simply as Otokar, is a Turkish bus and military vehicle manufacturer headquartered in Sakarya, Turkey. Otokar is a subsidiary of Koç Holding. Altay ''(English: Red foal/colt or Altai)'' is a Turkish fourth generation main battle tank designed by Otokar based on South Korean K2 Black Panther to be produced by BMC under design assistance and technology transfer by Hyundai Rotem. It is named in honor of Army General Fahrettin Altay who commanded the 5th Cavalry Corps in the final stage of the Turkish War of Independence. With a unit cost of 13.75 million dollars, the tank design cost is on par with and competitive when compared with relative projects. Terrex
The Terrex Infantry Carrier Vehicle (ICV) is an 8x8 armoured fighting vehicle (AFV) developed by ST Engineering of Singapore and Timoney Technology of Ireland, and produced by ST Engineering Land Systems (a corporate subsidiary of ST Engineering) and by Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering (KPE) under license as the Barys-A. Built on a 8x8 wheel chassis with modern military vehicle armour, the Terrex is approximately 25 to 30 tonnes, and is amphibious in certain configurations. Akrep ("Scorpion") is a Turkish infantry mobility vehicle family developed by Otokar, Otokar Otobus Karoseri Sanayi AS. The first prototypes were completed in May 1993 and the first vehicles came off the production line in June 1994.
