Otger Cataló
Otger Cataló (or '' 'Catalon' '') is a legendary character who with the Nine Barons of Fame would have conquered Catalonia from the Saracens sometime in the 8th century AD. According to some old theories, the name of Catalonia would have derived from its surname. In any case, the oldest written references to this character that have survived are from the fifteenth century, much later than any contemporaneous source. The legend was recovered mainly from XIX with the appearance of Renessaince and by the works of the authors of the Catalan ''Renaixença'': Víctor Balaguer, Antoni Ferrer i Codina and Jacinto Verdaguer.{{cite encyclopedia, url=http://www.enciclopedia.cat/ec-gec-0047965.xml, title=Otger Cataló, work=L'Enciclopèdia.cat, location=Barcelona, publisher=Grup Enciclopèdia Catalana The legend is based on events that occurred in three different generations. Otger agrees in the name and on the date of death with Otger (671-735), '' Arcomte de Catalanum '' (710-735), Duke of ...

Hug De Mataplana
A hug is a form of endearment, universal in most human communities, in which two or more people put their arms around the neck, back, or waist of one another and hold each other closely. If more than two people are involved, it may be referred to as a group hug. Hugs can last for any duration. Etymology The origins of the word are unknown, but two hypotheses exist. The first is that the verb "hug" (first used in the 1560s) could be related to the Old Norse word ''hugga'', which meant to comfort. The second hypothesis is that the word is related to the German word ''hegen'', which means to foster or cherish, and originally meant to enclose with a hedge. Characteristics A hug, sometimes in association with a kiss, is a form of nonverbal communication. Depending on culture, context and relationship, a hug can indicate familiarity, love, affection, friendship, brotherhood, flirting or sympathy. A hug can indicate support, comfort, and consolation, particularly where words are ...

Dapifer De Montcada
A steward is an official who is appointed by the legal ruling monarch to represent them in a country and who may have a mandate to govern it in their name; in the latter case, it is synonymous with the position of regent, vicegerent, viceroy, king's lieutenant (for Romance languages), governor, or deputy (the Roman '' rector'', '' praefectus'', or '' vicarius''). Etymology From Old English ''stíweard, stiȝweard'', from ''stiȝ'' "hall, household" + ''weard'' "warden, keeper"; corresponding to Dutch: ''stadhouder'', German ''Statthalter'' "place holder", a Germanic parallel to French ''lieutenant''. The Old English term ''stíweard'' is attested from the 11th century. Its first element is most probably ''stiȝ-'' "house, hall" (attested only in composition; its cognate ''stiȝu'' is the ancestor of Modern English ''sty''). Old French and Old Norse ''stívarðr'' are adopted from the Old English. The German and Dutch term (Middle High German ''stat-halter'') is a parallel but i ...
