Oscar Sjöstedt
Per Oscar Evert Sjöstedt (born 6 February 1981) is a Swedish politician and member of the Riksdag for the Sweden Democrats party. He has also served as the SD's finance and economics spokesman since 2014. Biography Sjöstedt studied at Stockholm University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in economics. He worked as a civil servant in the finance department for the Riksdag and then for Sveriges Television (SVT) and the Swedish Educational Broadcasting Company. He also served as chairman of the Sweden Democrat Youth's (SDU) chapter in Stockholm. Sjöstedt was elected to the Riksdag during the 2014 Swedish general election and served as the financial and economic spokesman for the Sweden Democrats, taking on the role from Sven-Olof Sällström. He initially announced he would not to seek another term in office before the 2018 Swedish general election, however he subsequently returned to parliament and resumed his role as the SD's financial spokesman. 2014 Swedish General Election
General elections were held in Sweden on 14 September 2014 to elect all 349 seats in the Riksdag, alongside elections for the 21 county councils, and 290 municipal assemblies. The centre-right Alliance for Sweden coalition (comprising the Moderate Party, Liberal People's Party, Centre Party, and Christian Democrats) sought a third term in government. In contrast to the previous election, the three largest parties on the left (the Social Democrats, Green Party, and Left Party) ran independent campaigns, as did the far-right Sweden Democrats. ''Info-14'' was a neo-Nazi website, started as a newspaper and published in paper form from April 1995 until May 2000, when it was turned into a website. The paper was started as a binding factor within the National Alliance with Robert Vesterlund, earlier member of the Sweden Democrats and chairman of Sweden Democratic Youth (SDU), as editor. According to the ten year chronicle in May 2005 the first editions were produced at the party headquarters of the Sweden Democrats in Stockholm, where the production was done on a copying machine. The number 14 in the paper name comes from David Lane's Fourteen Words. 2018 Swedish General Election
General elections were held in Sweden on 9 September 2018 to elect the 349 members of the Riksdag. Regional and municipal elections were also held on the same day. The incumbent minority government, consisting of the Social Democrats and the Greens and supported by the Left Party, won 144 seats, one seat more than the four-party Alliance coalition, with the Sweden Democrats winning the remaining 62 seats. The Social Democrats' vote share fell to 28.3 percent, its lowest level of support since 1911. The main opposition, the Moderates, lost even more support. Sweden Democrat Youth ( sv, Sverigedemokratisk Ungdom ; SDU) was the youth league of the Swedish political party Sweden Democrats until 12 September 2015. Background The youth league was founded in 1993 as an independent youth league to its parent party. Sven-Olof Sällström
Sven-Olof Sällström (4 October 1968 – 14 March 2024) was a Swedish politician who was a member of the Riksdag for the Sweden Democrats between 2010 and 2024. Sällström originally worked as a store manager before his political career. He was a member of the Centre Party and the Liberals before joining the Sweden Democrats in 2006. He unsuccessfully stood for the party during the 2009 European Parliament elections before he was elected to the Riksdag during the 2010 Swedish general election.
