José Francisco Walter Ormeño Arango (3 December 1926 – 4 January 2020) was a Peruvian association football, footballer who played as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. Playing career Born in Lima, Ormeño played for Club Universitario de Deportes, Universitario de Deportes, Huracán de Medellín, Mariscal Sucre, Boca Juniors, Rosario Central, Alianza Lima, Club América, América and Atlante F.C., Atlante. He also played for the Peru national football team, Peruvian national team between 1949 and 1957, including playing at the 1949 South American Championship. Coaching career After retiring as a player, he managed a number of clubs in Mexico. He also went on to manage noted Indian club Dempo SC, Dempo in 1994, coached the team in the inaugural edition of the National Football League (India), National Football League. Álvaro Andrés Ormeño Salazar (; born 4 April 1979) is a Chilean former professional footballer who operated as a right back or wing back. Club career Ormeño began his career at Colo-Colo youth ranks aged fifteen. After failing to be promoted to first adult team, he played for Club Social y Deportivo Cristiano Hosanna in the Chilean Tercera División. Next, he joined Ñublense in the 2000–01 season and then to Deportes Ovalle. In January 2002, he signed for Primera División club Santiago Morning. Club Deportivo Walter Ormeño (sometimes referred as Walter Ormeño de Cañete) is a Peruvian football club, playing in the city of Cañete, Lima, Peru. History The Club Deportivo Walter Ormeño was founded on October 10, 1950. It was named Club Walter Ormeño, in honor of Walter Ormeño, who was the goalkeeper from Universitario de Deportes; most of the founders were supporters of the team. The Club Deportivo Walter Ormeno originally played in the San Vicente District League in the beginning but it moved to the Imperial District League where it would see much of its early success.
