Orbelín Pineda
Orbelín Pineda Alvarado (born 24 March 1996) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Greek Super League club AEK Athens and the Mexico national team. Club career Querétaro Pineda was first called up to the Querétaro senior team on 21 January 2014, for a Copa MX match against Ascenso MX side Celaya and made his debut as a second-half substitute in a 1–0 loss. Pineda made his Liga MX debut on 1 August 2014, in a 2–0 victory against Pachuca. On 24 January 2015, he scored his first goal in a league match against Pachuca in a 1–2 loss. He was considered a pivotal part of the team as Querétaro reached the Clausura championship finals, only to succumb to Santos Laguna following an aggregate score of 5–3. The Clausura 2017 Liga MX championship stage commonly known as ''liguilla'' (mini league) was played from 10 May to 28 May 2017. A total of eight teams were competing in the championship stage to decide the champions of the Clausura 2017 Liga MX season. C.D Guadalajara won the final after defeating UANL 4–3 on aggregate. The Clausura 2017 Copa MX (officially the Clausura 2017 Copa Corona MX for sponsorship reasons) was the 77th staging of the Copa MX, the 50th staging in the professional era and is the tenth tournament played since the 1996–97 edition. This tournament began on 17 January 2017 and ended on 19 April 2017. The 2016 Supercopa MX was a Mexican football match-up played on 10 July 2016 between the champions of the Apertura 2015 Copa MX, Guadalajara, and the winners of the Clausura 2016 Copa MX, Veracruz. Like the 2015 edition, the 2016 Supercopa MX was one match at a neutral venue in the United States. This match took place at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. Ascenso MX, also known as Ascenso BBVA MX for sponsorship reasons, was a professional association football league in Mexico and the second level of the Mexican football league system. Formerly known as Primera División A de México (1994–2009) and also as Liga de Ascenso (2009–2012). Copa MX, also known as Copa Corona MX for sponsorship reasons, was an association football competition in Mexico and the domestic cup tournament for clubs at the highest and second levels of Mexican football league system. Formerly known as Copa México (1942–1963, 1970–1997) and also as Copa Presidente (1963–1970), the first season of the professional era was held in 1942–43. The cup tournament was not held in several years (1976–1988, 1992–1994, 1997–2012) and currently the competition has been paused since the 2019–20 edition.
