Ontario–Quebec–Vermont League
The Ontario–Quebec–Vermont League was a minor league baseball league that played in the 1924 season. The Class B level league directly evolved from the 1922–1923 Eastern Canada League. The 1924 Ontario–Quebec–Vermont League consisted of teams based in Canada and the United States. History The Eastern Canada League was a Class B level minor league that began play in 1922, with franchises based entirely in Canada. The four–team league played for two seasons. Three of the teams remained when the league evolved to become the 1924 Ontario–Quebec–Vermont League. In 1922, the Eastern Canada League began play as a Class B league and was founded by Joseph H. Page, who also served as league president. Atwater Park
Atwater Park (or ''Parc Atwater'') was a baseball park in Montreal Quebec, Canada. It was the home grounds of several Montreal minor league teams from about 1890 through 1927, including the Montreal Royals beginning in 1922. After the 1927 season, the Royals ended their lease and moved to Delorimier Stadium. It was also the home field of local amateur baseball leagues. The ballpark's address was 1500 Atwater Avenue, the street which bordered it on the northeast (third base) side. Other boundaries were Saint-Catherine Street West (southeast, left field); Montreal Arena (until it burned in 1918) and Wood Avenue (southwest, right field); and De Maisonneuve Boulevard (originally Western Avenue) (northwest, first base). The park continued to be used by local amateur leagues, into the 1950s, as well as the lacrosse team associated with the Montreal Shamrocks hockey team. Bill McCorry
William Charles McCorry (July 9, 1887 – March 22, 1973) was a Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the St. Louis Browns in . He had a long career as a player/manager in the minor leagues that lasted as late as 1942, including lengthy stints with the Albany Senators and Ogden Reds. He also served as traveling secretary for the New York Yankees and general manager of the Augusta Yankees. In the late 1940s, McCorry also served as a scout. The city of Rutland is the seat of Rutland County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city had a total population of 15,807. It is located approximately north of the Massachusetts state line, west of New Hampshire state line, and east of the New York state line. Lansdowne Park is a urban park, historic sports, exhibition and entertainment facility in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, owned by the City of Ottawa. It is located on Bank Street adjacent to the Rideau Canal in The Glebe neighbourhood of central Ottawa.
