''One of These Nights'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band the Eagles, released on June 10, 1975, by Asylum Records. The album was the band's commercial breakthrough, transforming them into international superstars. In July that year, the record became the Eagles' first number one album on ''Billboard'' Top LPs & Tape chart, yielding three Top 10 singles: " One of These Nights", "Lyin' Eyes" and " Take It to the Limit". Its title song is the group's second number one single on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. The album sold four million copies and received a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. "Take It to the Limit" is a song by the Eagles from their fourth album '' One of These Nights'' from which it was issued as the third and last single on November 15, 1975. It reached No. 4 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and was also Eagles' greatest success to that point in the United Kingdom, going to No. 12 on the charts. ''Billboard'' ranked it as the No. 25 song for 1976. The song, written by Eagles members Randy Meisner, Don Henley and Glenn Frey began as a solo composition by Meisner, who sang lead on it. Joseph Fidler Walsh (born Joseph Woodward Fidler; November 20, 1947) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Best known as a member of the rock band Eagles (band), Eagles, his five-decade career includes solo work and stints in other bands: James Gang, Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band, and New Zealand's Herbs (band), Herbs. Don Felder
Donald William Felder (born September 21, 1947) is an American musician who was the lead guitarist of the rock band Eagles from 1974 to 2001. He is known for co-writing several of the band's songs, most notably "Hotel California". Felder was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 with the Eagles, and was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2016. Felder was fired from the Eagles in 2001, after which he filed lawsuits against his former bandmates alleging wrongful termination, breach of implied-in-fact contract, and breach of fiduciary duty. Bernard Matthew Leadon III ( ; born July 19, 1947) is an American singer, musician, songwriter, and founding member of the Eagles, for which he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. Prior to the Eagles, he was a member of three country rock bands: Hearts & Flowers, Dillard & Clark, and the Flying Burrito Brothers. He is a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, banjo, mandolin, steel guitar, dobro) coming from a bluegrass background. Donald Hugh Henley (born July 22, 1947) is an American musician who is a founding member of the rock band the Eagles, for whom he is the drummer and co-lead vocalist, as well as its sole continuous member. Glenn Lewis Frey (; November 6, 1948 – January 18, 2016) was an American musician. He was a founding member of the rock band Eagles, for whom he was the co-lead singer and frontman, roles he came to share with fellow member Don Henley, with whom he wrote most of Eagles' material. Randy Meisner
Randall Herman Meisner (March 8, 1946 – July 26, 2023) was an American musician, singer, songwriter, and founding member of both Eagles and Poco. Throughout his professional musical career, both as group member and session musician, his main role was that of bassist and backing vocalist. He co-wrote and provided lead vocals on the Eagles' hit song " Take It to the Limit".
