Vsetín () is a town in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 25,000 inhabitants. The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) is a professional darts organisation in the United Kingdom, established in 1992 when a group of leading players split from the British Darts Organisation (BDO) to form what was initially called the World Darts Council (WDC). PDC European Tour
The PDC European Tour is a series of darts tournaments held across Europe organized by the Professional Darts Corporation. Starting in 2012 with five events, the number of events has steadily risen with eight held in 2013 and 2014, nine in 2015, 10 in 2016, 12 in 2017, 13 in both 2018 and 2019. There were 13 scheduled in 2020 (although that was reduced to four, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic). Only two events took place in 2021, with a return to 13 events in 2022, 2023 and 2024, then 14 in 2025. These events see the top players on the PDC Order of Merit and PDC ProTour Order of Merit compete against players from a tour card holder qualifier and three different regional qualifiers. Currently the prize fund for each tournament is £175,000, with £30,000 going to the winner. 2019 Czech Darts Open
The 2019 Czech Darts Open was the ninth of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2019 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at the PVA Expo Praha, Prague, Czech Republic, from 28 to 30 June 2019. It featured a field of 48 players and £140,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Jamie Hughes (darts player), Jamie Hughes won his first PDC title with an 8–3 win over Stephen Bunting in the final. Gerwyn Price hit the fourth nine-dart finish of the 2019 European Tour to beat Glen Durrant 6–4 in the second round. It was also the first of Price's career. The tournament saw a new European tour record for the most seeded players losing their first match as 11 of 16 players including Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright (darts player), Peter Wright lost in the second round. Keegan Brown (born 5 November 1992) is an English professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He has won two ranking PDC Players Championship titles. Brown reached the quarter-finals at the 2014 Grand Slam of Darts and the 2023 World Series Finals. In his youth career, Brown won the 2014 PDC World Youth Championship. Career Early career Brown began playing darts at the age of nine and was playing in men's county league games for the Isle of Wight at the age of 13. He qualified for the 2011 PDC Under-21 World Championship but lost to Michael van Gerwen 2–4 in the last 64.
