Andrés Calamaro (August 22, 1961) is an Argentine musician, composer and Latin Grammy winner. He is considered one of the greatest and most influential rock artists in Spanish. He is also one of the most complete artists for his wide range of musical styles, including funk, reggae, ballads, boleros, tangos and jazz. His former band '' Los Rodríguez'' was a major success in Spain and throughout Latin America mainly during the 1990s. René Pérez Joglar (; born February 23, 1978), known professionally as Residente (often stylized as Resīdɛntə), is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer, songwriter and filmmaker. He is best known as one of the founders of the alternative rap band Calle 13. Residente released five albums with Calle 13 before announcing his solo career in 2015. Residente released his debut solo album in 2017. He has won four Grammy Awards and 29 Latin Grammy Awards— more than any other Latin artist. Miranda! is an Argentine electropop band formed in Buenos Aires in 2001. Original band members include Alejandro Sergi (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Juliana Gattas (lead vocals), Lolo Fuentes (guitar), Bruno de Vincenti (programming), and Nicolás Grimaldi (bass). Dante Spinetta (born December 9, 1976, in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is an Argentine singer/composer who is part of the duo Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas. Biography Spinetta was born on December 9, 1976; he is the son of the musician Luis Alberto Spinetta. At the age of 14 he started recording hip hop tunes. In 2001 he married choreographer Majo Carnero and had a son, Brando de Dios and daughter Vida Uniqua. Musical career In 1990 Spinetta joined Emmanuel Horvilleur to form the hip-hop duo Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas. Gabriel Julio Fernández Capello (born July 24, 1964), better known as Vicentico, is an Argentine musician and composer. Co-founder and vocalist of the band Los Fabulosos Cadillacs along with Flavio Cianciarulo. He was part of the group since its creation in 1984 to the year 2001, when he began a solo career as a singer. Vicentico won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2021 for ''El Pozo Brillante'' and Best Rock Song for "Ahora 1". José Alfredo Jiménez Sandoval (; 19 January 1926 – 23 November 1973) was a Mexican singer-songwriter, whose songs are regarded as the basis of modern Regional Mexican music and Rancheras. Early life Jiménez was born in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico. His father died when he was ten years old, and his mother moved the family to Mexico City. Jiménez worked from a young age to help support his family. He took a job as a waiter at a Yucatacan restaurant in Santa María de la Ribera named La Sirena. While working there, he started writing songs and singing with a group called Los Rebeldes. Career The singer Miguel Aceves Mejía claims to have discovered him from Los Rebeldes.
