Onoff (retailer)
Onoff (originally named Telecall) was a Swedish retail chain selling consumer electronics and major appliances. Founded in 1971, and later expanding into Finland and Estonia, the Swedish parent business went bankrupt in 2011, with some stores being purchased by rival chain Expert. However, , the group's former Estonian subsidiary continued operating under the Onoff name following a management buyout in 2011, and operates to this day (2024). History Early years The business was started in 1971 by Hans Westin, who imported Japanese audio products, and in 1973 the company went full-time. The first actual store was opened in 1976 in Åkersberga. The Onoff name was established in 1982 when the company - then known as Telecall - bought Sigges radio and changed its name to Onoff. Onoff (Irish Band)
Onoff, stylized as ONOFF, are a Rock Trio punk rock band from Dublin, Ireland currently located in California. Onoff broke onto the Irish scene in 2002 with the release of their album, ''Hey Jack! You're Late!'', which reached number 7 in Irish Tower Chart. Onoff had already played sold-out shows around Ireland prior to the album's release which included shows in the Ambassador Theatre. Onoff's now-infamous live performances, which included getting fans on stage, fire-breathing finales, and even arriving on stage in coffins, landed them support slots with bands such as Fall Out Boy, Bad Religion, Funeral For a Friend and Therapy?, as well as a tour with Reel Big Fish. Marcin Rozynek (born 16 May 1971 in Żywiec) is a Polish rock vocalist, songwriter, and music producer. He has released six albums, two of them recorded with the band Atmosphere. He has also cooperated with Grzegorz Ciechowski. Career Marcin Rozynek began his music career in the bands ''Esther'' 1989 and ''Książę i Esther'' 1992. He appeared on the music scene as the vocalist of Atmosphere, established in 1993 in Leszno. In 1994 the group appeared at ''Mokotowska Jesień Muzyczna'', where they were runners-up just behind Myslovitz. Two years later they won the competition ''Marlboro Rock In''.
