Manuel Ballesteros Sota (born 22 June 1949) is a Spanish professional golfer. He is best known as a European Tour champion as well as being the former manager and brother of Seve Ballesteros. Early life Ballesteros was born in the summer of 1949 in Pedreña, Spain. He learned to play golf at Real Club de Golf de Pedre in his hometown. Professional career Ballesteros turned pro in 1967, at the age of 18. He had an early success, winning the Open Costa Vasca in September 1968, two strokes ahead of his uncle Ramón Sota. The event was played at Biarritz Golf Club in Biarritz, France, just across the border from Spain. Jean Garaïalde
Jean Garaïalde (born 2 October 1934) is a French professional golfer. Garaïalde was born in Ciboure, Pyrénées-Atlantiques. He turned professional in 1952. In 1969, he became the first French golfer since Firmin Cavalo in 1948 to claim his own national open. Around that time, he won several other national opens around Europe, including the German Open (golf), German Open in 1969 and 1970 and the Open de España, Spanish Open also in 1969. In his home country, Garaïalde was dominant winning 12 French PGA titles between 1960 and 1982, including seven in a row from 1962, 17 French Native Opens between 1957 and 1987, and 12 French Professional Championships between 1968 and 1985. Randall Vines (born 6 June 1945) is an Australian professional golfer. Vines was one of the top Australian golfers of his generation, winning a number of worldwide tournaments.
