Omar Ramírez
Omar Ramírez Lara (born 6 August 1973) is a Mexican manager who is the current manager for Mexicali since 2024. Coaching career Ramírez started his coaching career with Potros UAEM, from 2013 to 2017, gaining the promotion from Segunda División de México to Ascenso MX. In 2018, due to poor results, he was demoted to assistant manager of Héctor Hugo Eugui. In 2020, he joined the technical staff of Atlante. In 2022, Ramírez was appointed as manager of Escorpiones Zacatepec the Liga Premier de México. Ramírez remained on the team until January 2024. On July 10, 2024 he was named the new manager of Mexicali F.C. Liga MX, also known as Liga BBVA MX for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Mexico and the highest level of the Mexican football league system. Potros UAEM
Club de Fútbol Potros de la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México was a Mexican football team. They were nicknamed Potros (Broncos). Their uniform color was white and green, wearing a white and green vertical stripe shirt for their home games. The club was founded in 1970 when the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico register its football squad in to the Tercera División de México under the name of Moscos de la UAEM. Ascenso MX, also known as Ascenso BBVA MX for sponsorship reasons, was a professional association football league in Mexico and the second level of the Mexican football league system. Formerly known as Primera División A de México (1994–2009) and also as Liga de Ascenso (2009–2012). The champions of the competition was promoted to Liga MX (top level), and the bottom team was relegated to Liga Premier (third level). Héctor Hugo Eugui Simoncelli (born 18 February 1947) is a Uruguayan football manager and former player who is the manager of Mexican club UAT. He played as a forward, and was a notable player with Deportivo Toluca. Club career Born in Mercedes, Eugui began playing football with Bristol de Mercedes. Soon, he joined Club Nacional de Football, where he won the 1969 Uruguayan Primera División, and C.A. Cerro in 1970.
