Omar Cook
Omar-Sharif Cook (; born January 28, 1982) is an American-Montenegrin professional basketball coach and former player currently working as an assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He represented Montenegro men's national basketball team, Montenegro internationally. Prior to entering the draft he was considered a top 10 overall prospect by several NBA scouts. Amateur career Cook played high school basketball at Christ The King Regional High School, and then played college basketball at St. John's University, New York, St. John's University. Cook ranked second in the nation and first in the Big East Conference, Big East in assists during the one year he spent at St. John's. He also broke Mark Jackson's record for the most assists in a game for a St. John's player with 17, against Stony Brook University. FIBA EuroCup Challenge
The FIBA EuroCup Challenge was the 4th-tier level transnational professional continental club basketball competition in Europe, organised by FIBA Europe. However, it was Europe's 3rd-tier level club basketball competition in its inaugural 2002–03 season. The competition was founded in 2003, following a conflict between FIBA Europe and ULEB during the 2001–02 season, as an attempt by FIBA to expand their secondary tournament held during the previous season, the FIBA Europe Regional Challenge Cup, by merging it with the FIBA Europe Champions Cup. FIBA Champions League
The Basketball Champions League (BCL), also commonly known as the FIBA Champions League, is an annual professional basketball competition for European clubs, organised by FIBA. It is the top-level competition organised by FIBA Europe, therefore the champion participates in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. Clubs qualify for the competition mostly based on performance in their national leagues and cup competitions. Although exceptional, some teams can be wildcarded. Each season consists of 32 teams. The Cleveland Charge are an American professional basketball team in the NBA G League based in Cleveland, and are affiliated with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Since 2024, the team plays its home games at Public Auditorium in downtown Cleveland, though to begin the 2024–25 season, home games were played at Rocket Arena (home of the Cavaliers) due to renovations at Public Auditorium.
