Omar Carabalí
Gabriel Omar Carabalí Quiñonez (born June 12, 1997), known as Omar Carabalí, is an Ecuadorian- Chilean footballer who plays as goalkeeper for O'Higgins in the Chilean Primera División. Born in Ecuador, Carabalí has also represented Chile internationally. Career Colo-Colo On 2013, he arrived to Colo-Colo from Ecuadorian club Independiente José Terán. He signed his first contract as professional player on 2015 at the age of 18 years being only considered as a substitute on some matches. He ended his contract at the end of the 2024 season. San Luis (loan) He was loaned to San Luis de Quillota for all 2020 season. Unión La Calera (loan) For the 2023 season, Carabalí was loaned to Unión La Calera. The 2023 Chilean Primera División, known as Campeonato Betsson 2023 for sponsorship purposes until 15 October 2023, was the 93rd season of the Chilean Primera División, Chile's top-flight football league. The season began on 20 January and ended on 9 December 2023. Huachipato were the champions, clinching their third league title on the final round of the season with a 2–0 win over Audax Italiano and a 1–0 defeat for Cobresal at the hands of Unión Española on 8 December 2023, regaining the title after 11 years and being the first team from outside Santiago to win the title since 2015. 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualification (CONMEBOL)
The South American section of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification acted as qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, to be held in Qatar, for national teams which are members of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL). A total of 4.5 slots (4 direct slots and 1 inter-confederation play-off slot) in the final tournament were available for CONMEBOL teams. The qualification process began on 8 October 2020 and ended on 29 March 2022. Uruguay's Luis Suárez scored the first goal of the round-robin. Reinaldo Rueda Rivera (born 16 April 1957) is a Colombian football coach who currently serves as a manager for the Honduras national team. When he was the coach of the Colombia U-20 team, they finished 3rd at the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship. He also led the Colombia U-17 team to 4th at the 2003 FIFA U-17 World Championship. After an unfavorable start to the 2006 World Cup qualification phase (only 1 point after 5 games) the Colombian Football Federation made Rueda the coach of the senior team. The 2020 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament was the 13th edition of the CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament, the quadrennial, international, age-restricted association football, football tournament organised by the CONMEBOL, Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol (CONMEBOL) to determine which men's under-23 national teams from the South American region qualify for the Football at the Summer Olympics, Olympic football tournament.
