Olov Ternström
Olov Arthur Ternström (1 February 1927 – 14 July 2001) was a Swedish diplomat. Early life Ternström was born on 1 February 1927 in Lund, Sweden, the son of accountant Arthur Ternström and Astrid (née Andersson). He gained a degree in economics at the Stockholm School of Economics in 1949 and received the title of ''civilekonom''. Career Ternström worked in the Swedish General Export Association (''Sveriges allmänna exportförening'') from 1948 to 1957 before becoming an attaché at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs (Sweden), Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1957. Ternström served in Washington, D.C. in 1958, was the secretary at the Foreign Ministry in 1961 and director at the Council for Swedish Information Abroad (''Upplysningsberedningen'') in 1961 which was a coordinating committee for overseas information. The Ambassador of Sweden to Thailand (known formally as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Kingdom of Thailand) is the official representative of the government of Sweden to the monarch of Thailand and government of Thailand. History Diplomatic relations between Sweden and Thailand were established in 1868. Between 1931 and 1959, Sweden had a non-resident envoy accredited to Thailand from Japan and China. In July 1959, an agreement was reached between the Swedish and Thai governments on the mutual elevation of the respective countries' legations to embassies. The diplomatic rank was thereafter changed to ambassador instead of envoy extraordinary and minister plenipotentiary. Nils-Olov Fredrik Hasslev (1 November 1926 – 5 November 1990) was a Swedish diplomat. Early life Hasslev was born on 1 November 1926 in Laholm, Sweden, the son of Filip Pålsson, an odontology doctor, and his wife Marta (née Ljungberg). He received a Candidate of Law degree from Lund University in 1949 and a degree in economics from the Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law in Gothenburg in 1953. Career Hasslev conducted his clerkship at Vättle, Ale and Kullings Judicial District from 1953 to 1955 and was assistant at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in 1955. Hasslev was first administrative officer there in 1958 and budget secretary in 1961. He was acting director in 1962 and director (''byråchef'') at the Ministry of Communications in 1964. Ernst ''Axel'' Edelstam (21 July 1924 – 17 August 2012) was a Swedish diplomat. He served in the foreign service for almost 40 years, including as ambassador to many different countries. Early life Edelstam was born on 21 July 1924 in Stockholm, Sweden, the son of the permanent undersecretary and chamberlain and Hilma (née Dickinson). He was the brother of diplomat Harald Edelstam. Bromma Church is a round church in the borough Bromma in Stockholm, Sweden. It is the parish church of Bromma Parish in the Diocese of Stockholm. The oldest parts of the church were built in the late 12th century as a fortress church, and the church is among Stockholm's oldest buildings. Today it has seven parts: roundhouse, nave, choir, sacristy, chancel tomb, weaponhouse and crypt. History Originally the church consisted of the round house and a choir on the east side.
