Olga Čechová
Olga Čechová (6 April 1925 – 24 November 2010) was a Czech Republic, Czech printmaker. A native of Brno, Čechová studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in that city from 1941 until 1944. From 1946 until 1951 she was a student at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where she was a pupil of Karel Svolinský and . She was active mainly as an illustrator, and her work appeared in many magazines and books, both for children and for adults. One of her prints is owned by the National Gallery of Art. The Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (AAAD, , abbreviated VŠUP, also known as UMPRUM) is a public university located in Prague, Czech Republic. The university offers the study disciplines of painting, illustration and graphics, fashion design, product design, graphic design, ceramics and porcelain, photography and architecture. Karel Svolinský
Karel Svolinský (14 January 1896 – 16 September 1986) was a Czech painter, graphic artist, illustrator, typographer, typeface designer, theatre stage designer and university professor. Life Initially, in 1910–1916, Svolinský trained as a Wood carving, woodcarver in Prague. In 1919 he decided to continue his studies at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where he studied painting and graphic arts with Štěpán Zálešák (1919–1921) and sculpture with Bohumil Kafka (1921). Later he focused mainly on Graphic arts, graphic art and mural painting, which he studied with František Kysela between 1922 and 1927.
