Ole Kjær
Ole Kjær (born 16 August 1954) is a Danish former association football, footballer, who won the 1978 Danish Player of the Year, Danish ''Player of the Year'' award. He played as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper, and most prominently represented Danish club Esbjerg fB, with whom he won the 1979 Danish football champions, Danish Championship. He played 26 games for the Denmark national football team, Danish national team from 1977 to 1984, and represented Denmark at the 1984 UEFA European Football Championship, 1984 European Championship. Club career Kjær began his professional career in 1974 with Esbjerg fB. Two years after, he was able to win the Danish Cup with Esbjerg. This was their first victory in the tournament since 1964 and only the second in the club's history. The team won 2–1 against Holbæk B&I. The 1st Division (''1. Division'') is the second-highest football league in Denmark, also known as NordicBet Liga for sponsorship reasons. From 1945 to 1991, the 1. Division was the name of the highest level of football in Denmark. With the formation of the Danish Superliga, the 1st Division became the second tier of Danish football. List Of Danish Football Champions
The Danish football champions are the winners of the highest league of football in Denmark. The title has been contested since 1913, in a varying form of competitions. Since 1991, the winners have been found through the Danish Superliga championship. The Danish football championship is governed by the Divisionsforeningen. The early Danish football championships were decided in a single game, and the competition was not nationwide until its structure was altered before the 1927–28 season. Until the 1950s, the winners' list included teams exclusively from the Copenhagen area.
