Ole Haldorsen Bjelbøle
Ole Haldorsen Bjelbøle (23 August 1879 – 1953) was a Norwegian farmer and politician for the Agrarian Party. He was born at Bjelbøle in Øystre Slidre as a son of farmers Haldor Knutsen Bjelbøle (1839–1899) and Marit Hauge (1843–1925). He finished middle school in 1897, then Storhove Agricultural School in 1900 and the Norwegian College of Agriculture in 1902. He was a farmer his entire career; from 1905 at the family farm Bjelbøle. He was a member of Øystre Slidre municipal council from 1919 to 1925 and 1928 to 1934. He was also a county politician in Oppland. He was elected as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway in 1933 from the constituency Oppland, and was re-elected in 1936. He was the deputy of Erling Bjørnson. Berit Nøkleby (25 September 1939 – 26 July 2018) was a Norwegian historian. She was born in Drammen, and is a cand.philol. by education. She has contributed to several books on the German occupation of Norway. She wrote book II and IV of the series ''Norge i krig I–VIII. FremmedÃ¥k og frihetskamp 1940–1945'' (II: ''Nyordning'', 1985, and IV: ''Holdningskamp'', 1986). Oppland Politicians
Oppland is a former county in Norway which existed from 1781 until its dissolution on 1 January 2020. The old Oppland county bordered the counties of Trøndelag, Møre og Romsdal, Sogn og Fjordane, Buskerud, Akershus, Oslo and Hedmark. The county administration was located in the town of Lillehammer. Merger On 1 January 2020, the neighboring counties of Oppland and Hedmark were merged to form the new Innlandet county. Both Oppland and Hedmark were the only landlocked counties of Norway, and the new Innlandet county is the only landlocked county in Norway. The two counties had historically been one county that was divided in 1781. Historically, the region was commonly known as "Opplandene". In 1781, the government split the area into two: Hedemarkens amt and Kristians amt (later renamed Hedmark and Oppland). In 2017, the government approved the merger of the two counties. Øystein Sørensen
Øystein Sørensen (born 17 October 1954) is a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Oslo since 1996, he has published several books on the history of ideas, including Norwegian nationalism and national socialism, as well as general Norwegian World War II history. Born at Strømmen, he took the cand.philol. degree in 1981. His main inspiration for studying history was Jens Arup Seip and his inclination towards incorporating the history of ideas in general history. Guri Hjeltnes
Guri Hjeltnes (born 23 October 1953) is a Norwegian journalist and historian. Having mainly researched Norwegian World War II history during her career, she is a professor of journalism at the BI Norwegian Business School since 2004. She has also spent considerable time as a journalist and commentator, currently in ''Verdens Gang''. She became director of the Center for Studies of the Holocaust and Religious Minorities in 2012. Career Guri Hjeltnes was born in Stavanger. She worked as a journalist in '' Arbeiderbladet'' from 1979 to 1985, and has also worked for other newspapers on a freelance basis.
