Old Etonians F.C.
The Old Etonians Association Football Club is an England, English association football club whose players are alumni of Eton College, in Eton, Berkshire. Having been a member of The Football Association and played several editions of the FA Cup, Old Etonians currently play in the Premier Division, the highest level of the Arthurian League. History The first reference to football clubs consisting of Old Etonians relates to matches between the former pupils at Oxford University and those at Cambridge University, starting in 1859. These matches were played to the Eton Field Game rules. Sides made up of former pupils played annual matches against the school in the Field Game over the next few years. The first match for an Old Etonian side against non-Etonian opposition was at Westminster School in 1863, probably to that school's rules. Arthurian League
The Arthurian League is an English association football Sports league, league for clubs comprising old boys of Public school (United Kingdom), public schools founded in 1961. It is affiliated to the Amateur Football Alliance and is not part of the English football league system. It takes its name – via the Arthur Dunn Cup in which all founder members competed – from Old Etonian and England international Arthur Dunn. League competition The Premier and First Divisions are restricted to first teams, while the remaining divisions are open to all teams. Cup competitions Most first teams contest the Arthur Dunn Cup. William Joseph Anderson
William Joseph Anderson (12 August 1861 – 23 June 1903) was an English amateur footballer who played as a forward for Old Etonians. He was the first Liverpool-born footballer to win the FA Cup. Early life and education Anderson was born in Liverpool, the youngest son of Thomas Darnley Anderson, a Scots-born cotton merchant, and educated at Eton College. In 1880 he was admitted as a student at Trinity Hall, Cambridge; his brother Rupert had preceded him by a year. Despite his undoubted football ability, Anderson never received a Blue. The Oval
The Oval, currently named for sponsorship reasons as the Kia Oval, is an international cricket ground in Kennington, located in the borough of Lambeth, in south London. The Oval has been the home ground of Surrey County Cricket Club since it was opened in 1845. It was the first ground in England to host international Test cricket in September 1880. Blackburn Rovers

Charles Clerke (footballer)
Charles John Clerke (8 September 1857 – 7 November 1944) was an English amateur footballer who scored the only goal in the 1879 FA Cup Final. Birth Clerke was born at Hanover Square, London and christened at St George's, Hanover Square in December 1857. He was the fourth child of Sir William Henry Clerke (1822–1882) from Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland who was Principal Clerk in the Treasury and succeeded to the title of 10th Baronet Clerke, of Hitcham on 16 February 1861. Football career Clerke was educated at Eton College and in 1878 joined the Old Etonians football XI. He went up to Christ Church, Oxford, and represented the University of Oxford at cricket. Having scored three goals in the Old Boys' run to the 1879 FA Cup Final, he was selected at outside-left for the final itself, played at Kennington Oval on 29 March 1879. Harry Goodhart
Harry Chester Goodhart (17 July 1858 – 21 April 1895) was an English amateur footballer who played as a forward in four FA Cup Finals for Old Etonians, before going on to become Professor of Humanity at the University of Edinburgh. Early life and education Goodhart was born in Wimbledon, the son of Charles Woide Goodhart (1829–1914), and educated at Eton College. He played for the college football team in 1877 and also represented the college in cricket. He made his first cricket appearance for the college in June 1876 and played throughout that summer and the following. His finest spell came in July 1876 when he scored 55 against I Zingari and 51 against Harrow School in consecutive matches. During his time at Eton, Goodhart was a friend of James Kenneth Stephen (1859–1892) who became a poet. Edgar Lubbock LLB (22 February 1847 – 9 September 1907) was an English amateur footballer who twice won the FA Cup and played first-class cricket. He later became a partner in the Whitbread Brewery, a director and Deputy Governor of the Bank of England and the Master of the Blankney Foxhounds. Early life and education Lubbock was born in London, the tenth of eleven children of Sir John Lubbock (1803–1865), the former head of the Lubbock & Co Bank, and Harriet Hotham, He was educated at Eton College where he became a member of the football XI between 1864 and 1866, and captain in his final year.
