Olaug Løken
Olaug Marie Løken (29 November 1854 – 11 March 1925) was a Norwegian writer and activist. Personal life She was born at Sundnes in Inderøy Municipality as a daughter of landowner and politician Herman Løchen (1822–76) and Anne Margrethe Jenssen (1826–1911). She had ten siblings, among them Håkon Løken and Gudrun Løchen Drewsen. The family led a rich social life with many visiting writers and artists; P. Chr. Asbjørnsen exercised a special influence on Olaug Løken. She was also a first cousin of Arne, Einar and Kalle Løchen. In October 1881 in Trondhjem she married another first cousin, editor Hjalmar Løken (1852–1932). Career Løken took orthopedic education in Kristiania, but made a career as a writer and public debater. Her husband was the editor of ''Norske Intelligenssedler'', and Løken debuted as a food writer here in the 1890s. Inderøy is a List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in Trøndelag Counties of Norway, county, Norway. It is part of the Innherad Districts of Norway, region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Straumen, Trøndelag, Straumen. ''Norske Intelligenz-Seddeler'' is a former Norwegian newspaper issued in Oslo from 1763 to 1920. It was the first newspaper in Norway, and its first issue came out on 25 May 1763. The founder and first publisher of ''Norske Intelligenz-Seddeler'' was printer Samuel Conrad Schwach, who edited the newspaper until he died in 1781. In the beginning, the publication was a weekly magazine. Its content was mainly advertisements and entertaining articles. The newspaper was called ''Christiania Intelligenssedler'' from 1807 to 1893. The ''Great Norwegian Encyclopedia'' (, abbreviated ''SNL'') is a Norwegian-language online encyclopedia. It has several subdivisions, including the Norsk biografisk leksikon. The National Association for Women's Suffrage (, LSKF) was a Norwegian association for women suffrage, active from 1898 until 1913. It was founded by members of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights (NKF), and the two organizations were closely related, at times sharing the same president. Oslo
Oslo ( or ; ) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of 1,064,235 in 2022, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. During the Viking Age, the area was part of Viken.
