Ohio Lottery
The Ohio Lottery is a state lottery run by the Ohio Lottery Commission. Its games consist of scratch tickets; Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5 ("numbers games"); Rolling Cash 5, Classic Lotto, Keno, Lucky for Life, Mega Millions, and Powerball. The Lottery's current interim director is Michelle Gillcrist, who was appointed by Governor Mike DeWine on April 12, 2023; previous directors include Pat McDonald, Mike Dolan, Tom Hayes, and Dennis Berg. In April 2023, former Ohio Lottery executive director Pat McDonald denied claims of harassment days before he resigned for medical reasons. ''Cash Explosion'', (or simply ''C.E.'' since 2017) known as ''Cash Explosion: Double Play'' from 1989 until 2012, is the official Ohio Lottery TV game show, which is broadcast on television stations throughout Ohio. Random number generation is a process by which, often by means of a random number generator (RNG), a sequence of numbers or symbols is generated that cannot be reasonably predicted better than by random chance. This means that the particular outcome sequence will contain some patterns detectable in hindsight but impossible to foresee. True random number generators can be '' hardware random-number generators'' (HRNGs), wherein each generation is a function of the current value of a physical environment's attribute that is constantly changing in a manner that is practically impossible to model. Keno
Keno is a lottery-like gambling game often played at modern casinos, and also offered as a game in some lotteries. Players wager by choosing numbers ranging from 1 through (usually) 80. After all players make their wagers, 20 numbers (some variants draw fewer numbers) are drawn at random, either with a ball machine similar to ones used for lotteries and bingo, or with a random number generator. Each casino sets its own series of payouts, called "paytables". The player is paid based on how many numbers were chosen (either player selection, or the terminal picking the numbers), the number of matches out of those chosen, and the wager. Multi-State Lottery Association
The Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) is an American non-profit, government-benefit association owned and operated by agreement of its 34-member lotteries. MUSL was created to facilitate the operation of multi-jurisdictional lottery games, most notably Powerball. MUSL was formed in December 1987, by seven U.S. lotteries. Its first game was launched in February 1988, '' Lotto America''. That game was changed to Powerball; its first drawing was in April 1992. Powerball was a unique game using two drums, suggested to MUSL by Steve Caputo of the Oregon Lottery. The Ohio Vax-A-Million was a weekly lottery held every Wednesday from May 26 through June 23, 2021, by the Ohio Lottery and the Ohio Department of Health to award Ohioans who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
