Multi-State Lottery Association
The Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) is an American non-profit, government-benefit association owned and operated by agreement of its 34-member lotteries. MUSL was created to facilitate the operation of multi-jurisdictional lottery games, most notably Powerball. MUSL was formed in December 1987, by seven U.S. lotteries. Its first game was launched in February 1988, '' Lotto America''. That game was changed to Powerball; its first drawing was in April 1992. Powerball was a unique game using two drums, suggested to MUSL by Steve Caputo of the Oregon Lottery. Powerball/Mega Millions cross-selling On October 13, 2009, MUSL signed an agreement with the consortium of states that operated the similar Mega Millions lottery, which allowed MUSL members to sell Mega Millions tickets and consortium members to sell Powerball tickets. Unanimous
Unanimity is agreement by all people in a given situation. Groups may consider unanimous decisions as a sign of social, political or procedural agreement, solidarity, and unity. Unanimity may be assumed explicitly after a unanimous vote or implicitly by a lack of objections. It does not necessarily mean uniformity and can sometimes be the opposite of majority in terms of outcomes. Voting Practice varies as to whether a vote can be considered unanimous if some voter abstains. In ''Robert's Rules of Order'', a "unanimous vote" is not specifically defined, although an abstention is not counted as a vote regardless of the voting threshold. Also in this book, action could be taken by "unanimous consent", or "general consent", if there are no objections raised. Random Number Generator
Random number generation is a process by which, often by means of a random number generator (RNG), a sequence of numbers or symbols is generated that cannot be reasonably predicted better than by random chance. This means that the particular outcome sequence will contain some patterns detectable in hindsight but impossible to foresee. MegaHits
MegaHits was a video lottery terminal (VLT) multiple-progressive jackpot game that began on July 15, 2011, and ended on July 31, 2018. MegaHits replaced Cashola, which was offered from July 2006 to May 15, 2011. Cashola was offered at lottery-run casinos in Delaware Lottery, Delaware, Rhode Island Lottery, Rhode Island, and West Virginia Lottery, West Virginia; the same three lotteries take part in MegaHits. Kansas Lottery
The Kansas Lottery is a government organization run by the government of Kansas. It is a charter member of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL). The mission of the lottery is to produce the maximum revenue for Kansas while insuring the integrity of its games. In November 1986, voters approved a constitutional amendment by 64% that authorized the creation of a government-run lottery, with the lottery then officially established when the Kansas Legislature passed the Kansas Lottery Act in 1987. All Kansas Lottery games have a minimum age of 18. The Kansas Lottery offers $1, $2,$3 $5, $10, $20, and $30 scratch tickets, plus $1 and $2 instant " pull-tab" games. The Iowa Lottery Authority is run by the state of Iowa. It is a member of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL), which administers games on behalf of the member lotteries. Midwest Millions
Midwest Millions is an American scratchcard game that began on September 7, 2007, in Iowa and Kansas, administered by the Multi-State Lottery Association. It originally became available in Kansas at the State Fair in Hutchinson and then throughout Kansas on September 13. It was the US's first multi-jurisdictional scratch game since the Powerball scratch ticket in the early 2000s. Both $500,000 prizes were won on tickets bought in Iowa, although one of the winners was from Nebraska. In 2007, it was announced that other Midwestern lotteries may be added in a future edition. The Venetian (Las Vegas)
The Venetian Las Vegas is a luxury hotel and casino resort located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, United States. It is owned by Vici Properties and operated by Apollo Global Management. It was developed by businessman Sheldon Adelson through his company, Las Vegas Sands. The Venetian was built on the former site of the Sands Hotel and Casino, which was closed and demolished in 1996. Robert Leland Eubanks (born January 8, 1938) is an American disc jockey, television personality and game show host, widely known for hosting the game show ''The Newlywed Game'' on and off since 1966.
