Odunpazarı Modern Museum
Odunpazarı (literally "firewood market" in Turkish) is a municipality and district of Eskişehir Province, Turkey. Its area is 1,120 km², and its population is 422,423 (2022), 47% of the provincial population. Odunpazarı District covers the southern part of Greater Eskişehir, including the historic center, and the adjacent countryside. In 2008 the district Odunpazarı was created from part of the former central district of Eskişehir, along with the district Tepebaşı. At the 2013 Turkish local government reorganisation, the rural part of the district was integrated into the municipality, the villages becoming neighbourhoods. Tayfun Talipoğlu Typewriter Museum
Tayfun Talipoğlu Typewriter Museum, or shortly Typewriter Museum, ( or ''Daktilo Müzesi'') is a technology museum in Odunpazarı, Eskişehir, Turkey exhibiting typewriters. The Typewriter Museum is the first one of its kind in Turkey. Owned and operated by Odunpazarı Municipality, the museum is situated in the historic Şamlıoğlu Mansion. Inaugurated on May 15, 2016, it is named for the journalist and television producer Tayfun Talipoğlu, who donated a number of typewriters he used. A wax sculpture of him is in the museum. There is also a wax sculpture of the former prime minister Bülent Ecevit (1925–2006) typing on his typewriter, who worked for Turkey's press attaché in London, England. Muhtar (title)
A muhtar is the elected village head in villages of Turkey and in villages of Northern Cyprus, the Turkish occupied part of the Republic of Cyprus. In city, cities, likewise, each neighbourhood has a muhtar but with a slightly different status. Muhtars and their village councils () are elected during local elections for five years. Yılmaz Büyükerşen Wax Museum, also known as Eskişehir Wax Museum, () is a wax museum in Odunpazarı second level municipality in Greater Eskişehir, Turkey. The museum is situated on Atatürk Boulevard at . It is next to various other museums. It was established on 19 May 2013 by Yılmaz Büyükerşen, sculptor and the mayor of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality. The museum revenues are to be used in the education of female students and in general students with disabilities. There are 198 wax sculptures exhibited in five halls in the museum.
