Odell Lake (Oregon)
Odell Lake is located near Willamette Pass in the northwest corner of Klamath County, Oregon, United States. It is one of several lakes in the Cascade Range in Central Oregon, and lies within the Deschutes National Forest. It was named for Oregon Surveyor General William Holman Odell by Bynon J. Pengra, in July 1865, while they were making a preliminary survey for the Oregon Central Military Road, which would later become Oregon Route 58. The lake fills a basin carved by a glacier, and the resulting terminal moraine confines the water along the lake's southeast shore. Community The populated place of Odell Lake, Oregon, is on the lake's southeast end at and was once a station on the Southern Pacific Railroad's Cascade Line between Crescent Lake station and Cascade Summit. Crescent Lake, Oregon
Crescent Lake is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Klamath County, Oregon, United States. It is situated northeast of the lake Crescent Lake and south of Odell Lake on Oregon Route 58, and is next to Crescent Lake State Airport. Crescent Lake was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. The north end of the CDP, at the intersection of Route 58 and Crescent Lake Highway ( Oregon Route 429), is known as Crescent Lake Junction. History The community of Crescent Lake was originally located along the Southern Pacific Railroad line, south by southwest of the current Crescent Lake Junction. ''Odell Lake'' is a 1986 educational game, educational life simulation game produced by MECC for the Apple II and Commodore 64. The player is a fish living in Odell Lake (Oregon), Odell Lake, a real-world lake in Oregon. It is based on a 1980 BASIC program of the same name. It was followed-up by ''Odell Down Under''. Diamond is a solid form of the element carbon with its atoms arranged in a crystal structure called diamond cubic. Bull Trout
The bull trout (''Salvelinus confluentus'') is a char of the family Salmonidae native to northwestern North America. Historically, ''S. confluentus'' has been known as the " Dolly Varden" (''S. malma''), but was reclassified as a separate species in 1980. Mountain Whitefish
The mountain whitefish (''Prosopium williamsoni'') is one of the most widely distributed salmonid fish of western North America. It is found from the Mackenzie River drainage in Northwest Territories, Canada through western Canada and the northwestern USA in the Pacific, Hudson Bay and upper Missouri River basins to the Truckee River drainage in Nevada and Sevier River drainage in Utah. Crescent Lake (Oregon)
Crescent Lake is a natural lake on the eastern side of the Cascade Range in the northwest corner of Klamath County, Oregon, United States. The unincorporated community of Crescent Lake Junction on Oregon Route 58 and Crescent Lake State Airport are located northeast of the lake. The lake was named for its shape by Byron J. Pengra and William Holman Odell in July 1865. Recreation Crescent Lake is located within the Crescent Ranger District of the Deschutes National Forest. The area has many trails for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking, and areas for off-road vehicles. There are also a few developed campsites and boat ramps that provide opportunities for sailing, water skiing, camping and fishing.
