Bystřice pod Hostýnem (; ) is a town in Kroměříž District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 8,000 inhabitants. Zlín Region () is an administrative unit () of the Czech Republic, located in the south-eastern part of the historical region of Moravia. It is named after its capital Zlín. The cultural monuments of the Czech Republic ( Czech: ''kulturní památka'') are protected properties (both real and movable properties) designated by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. Castles In The Zlín Region
A castle is a type of fortified structure built during the Middle Ages predominantly by the nobility or royalty and by military orders. Scholars usually consider a ''castle'' to be the private fortified residence of a lord or noble. This is distinct from a mansion, palace, and villa, whose main purpose was exclusively for ''pleasance'' and are not primarily fortresses but may be fortified.
