Obrero (Asunción)
Obrero, also known as Barrio Obrero, is a neighbourhood (''barrio'') of Asunción, the capital and largest city of Paraguay. In 2002, the neighborhood recorded a population of 19,823 people. Its name stems from the word "worker" (obrero) in reference to the working class people who founded and today account for the majority of the population. Overview Barrio Obrero is famous for its Quinta Avenida (the Fifth Avenue) where several small bars, restaurants, shops and casinos are located. Estadio General Pablo Rojas
Estadio General Pablo Rojas, locally known as La Olla or La Nueva Olla and for sponsorship reasons known as Estadio ueno La Nueva Olla, is a association football, football stadium in the neighbourhood of Barrio Obrero (Asunción), Barrio Obrero in Asunción, Paraguay. It is the home of Cerro Porteño. The stadium's nickname, ''La Olla'', meaning ''The Pot'' in English, was given by the club's former president, General Pablo Rojas, after whom the stadium was named following his death. Asunción (, ) is the capital and the largest city of Paraguay. The city stands on the eastern bank of the Paraguay River, almost at the confluence of this river with the Pilcomayo River. The working class is a subset of employees who are compensated with wage or salary-based contracts, whose exact membership varies from definition to definition. Club Cerro Porteño is a professional Paraguayan Association football, football club, based in the neighbourhood of Obrero (Asunción), Obrero in Asunción. Club Nacional is a Paraguayan professional football club based in the neighbourhood of Obrero in Asunción. Founded in 1904, the club currently plays in the Paraguayan Primera División, and holds its home games at Estadio Arsenio Erico. Internationally, the club is referred to as Nacional Asunción, in order to distinguish itself from Uruguay's Nacional and Colombia's Atlético Nacional.
