O.R.k.
O.R.k. are an international progressive, alternative, and art rock supergroup consisting of Australian bassist Colin Edwin (formerly of Porcupine Tree), American drummer Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson), Italian singer LEF (Obake), and Italian guitarist Carmelo Pipitone ( Marta sui Tubi). History The band was formed in 2014 and released its first single, "JellyFish", in January 2015. On 2 October of the same year, the band's debut studio album, ''Inflamed Rides'', was independently published. To support the album, the band did around 30 shows in Europe and South America (Argentina, Chile and Mexico). The band's second album, ''Soul of an Octopus'', was published on 24 February 2017 by RareNoiseRecords. The album was promoted with dozen of concerts in Europe. The band's third album, ''Ramagehead'', was published on 22 February 2019 by the label Kscope. The album features the vocals of System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian on the song "Black Blooms". Pat Mastelotto
Lee Patrick Mastelotto (born September 10, 1955) is an American rock drummer and record producer. He has been a member of King Crimson, Stick Men, Mr. Mister and O.R.k., as well as working as a session drummer with XTC, The Pointer Sisters and The Rembrandts (including well known Friends theme song I'll Be There for You), among others. In addition, he has led or co-led other projects including Mastica, Tuner, TU and The Mastelottos. For King Crimson, he initially formed part of the "Double Trio" lineup from 1994 to 1997, working with Bill Bruford as part of a double-drumkit arrangement. Following Bruford's departure in 1997, Mastelotto remained with Mr. Mister, becoming their longest-serving drummer and working both solo and in various configurations with subsequent drummers Gavin Harrison, Bill Rieflin and Jeremy Stacey. Colin Edwin
Colin Edwin Balch is an Australian musician, specialising in fretted and fretless bass guitar, double bass and guimbri. Edwin first came to public attention as a member of the British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, in which he was bass player from 1993 to 2011. Currently, Edwin is a member of Ex-Wise Heads, a long running collaboration with multi instrumentalist Geoff Leigh which mixes ethnic, ambient, and post-modern influences. He is also a member of metal-influenced project Random Noise Generator, and the bands Metallic Taste of Blood and progressive metal act O.R.k., as well as participating in numerous collaborations and releasing solo work. Carmelo Pipitone (1978) is a songwriter and guitarist formerly known as guitarist-member of the Italian band Marta sui Tubi and the international Supergroup (music), supergroup O.R.k. Biography Carmelo Pipitone was born in Petrosino, at the time part of the municipality of Marsala, in 1978. In Sicily he participated in his first musical projects, the most important of which were RYM. Marta sui Tubi In Bologna, in 2002, he formed Marta sui Tubi with Giovanni Gulino.
