Near Westside Historic District is a national Historic district (United States), historic district located at Elmira, New York, Elmira in Chemung County, New York. The district includes 480 principal structures over 25-30 blocks in a district. The district is predominantly residential with only about 15 percent of the structures having commercial or mixed commercial / residential use. Elmira () is a city and the county seat of Chemung County, New York, United States. It is the principal city of the Elmira, New York, metropolitan statistical area, which encompasses Chemung County. The population was 26,523 at the 2020 census, down from 29,200 at the 2010 census, a decline of more than 7 percent.
