Navid (satellite)
Navid ( fa, نوید) or Navid-e Elm-o San'at (, "Promise of Science and Technology") was an experimental Iranian Earth observation satellite. The satellite carried a camera for taking higher resolution imagery of Earth and it was also be used to collect weather data and monitor natural disasters. The third satellite to be launched indigenously by Iran, it was placed into orbit by a new configuration of the Safir carrier rocket, featuring a larger second stage with 20% more thrust. The launch occurred at approximately 00:04 UTC on 3 February 2012. The satellite remained in orbit for two months, before reentering the atmosphere on 1 April 2012. Navid Dayyani
Navid Fløe Dayyani (born February 17, 1987) is a Danish businessman and former football player, who played for Aarhus Gymnastik Forening in the Danish 1st Division. He was born to an Iranian father and a Danish mother. Career Dayyani started playing football at fifteen and by the time he was seventeen landed a contract with Aarhus Gymnastik Forening who are currently in the Superliga. In 2003, Dayyani became the youngest player ever to get his debut in the Superliga. At the age of 16 years and 244 days, he succeeded Mads Beierholm's old record of 16 years and 256 days. Naveed Alexis Jamali (born February 20, 1976) is an American commentator on national security and former FBI asset. He worked for the U.S. Department of Defense as an intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserve. He is the author of the non-fiction book ''How to Catch a Russian Spy'' (). Hamid Naweed (Persian: حامد نوید) is an Afghan-American writer and art historian. Naweed received his MFA from State University of New York at Buffalo after which he thought Art History and Aesthetics at Kabul University. As a Fulbright scholarship, he authored a number of articles on Afghan art. He is on the advisory board of The Alliance for the Restoration of Cultural Heritage as well as a correspondent for C-SPAN and contributor for NPR. Naweed is the author of two books, one on Rumi and another on Afghan art history for which he was recognized by the Afghan Embassy in Washington DC. Asfandyar Abid Naveed
The June 2011 Peshawar bombings occurred on 12 June 2011 in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. At least 34 people were killed, and more than 90 were injured, when two bombs exploded in a market around midnight. Three people were hurt when the first bomb exploded at 11:50 p.m. local time in the commercial and residential area of Khyber market. After a crowd gathered in the area, a teen-aged suicide bomber on a motorcycle set off a second explosion, killing many people on the spot.
