The following are public holidays in Ukraine. Holidays established by law Religious holidays are observed according to the Julian calendar (but here the Gregorian date of Christmas is written). When a public holiday falls on a weekend (e.g. Saturday or Sunday), the following working day (e.g. Monday) turns into an official day off too. If only one or only two working days are between a public holiday and another day off then the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine usually releases a recommendation to avoid this gap by moving these working days onto a certain Saturday (that is to have uninterrupted vacations, but to compensate this by work on another day which would be a day off). Ukrainian Frigate Hetman Sahaydachniy
''Hetman Sahaidachny'' ( uk, Гетьман Сагайдачний, translit=Hetman Sahaidachnyi) was a frigate of the Ukrainian Navy that was originally built at the Kerch Shipyard as a Project 1135.1 patrol ship of the Nerei / Krivak III / Menzhinskiy class. She was launched on 29 March 1992 and commissioned on 2 April 1993. Homeported at Odesa since March 2014, she was the flagship of the Ukrainian Navy. Her major armament was a single 100 mm gun. She was scuttled by Ukraine on 4 March 2022 to prevent her falling into the hands of invading Russian forces. Service history Built at the Zalyv Shipbuilding yard, the ship was intended to be used by the Soviet Border Troops as ''Kirov''.
