Sumida, Tokyo
is a special ward located in Tokyo Metropolis, Japan. The English translation of its Japanese self-designation is Sumida City. As of May 1, 2015, the ward has an estimated population of 257,300, and a population density of 18,690 persons per km2. The total area is 13.77 km2. is a 1976 Japanese historical television series. It is the 14th NHK taiga drama. Kaze to kumo to Niji to deals with the Heian period in Japan. Abunai Deka
, often shortened to , is a Japanese television drama aired by Nippon Television between 1986 and 1987. Starring Hiroshi Tachi and Kyohei Shibata, the series became very popular and spawned films, spin-offs series, and books. The series follows a pair of detectives, Toshiki Takayama (Hiroshi Tachi) and Yuji Oshita (Kyôhei Shibata), from the Naka-ku branch of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police. Several model cars based on Nissan automobiles featured in the show were produced by model company Aoshima Bunka Kyozai. Otoko Wa Tsurai Yo
is a Japanese film series starring Kiyoshi Atsumi as , a kind-hearted vagabond who is always unlucky in love. The series itself is often referred to as "Tora-san" by its fans. Spanning 48 installments released between 1969 and 1995, all of the ''Otoko wa Tsurai yo'' films except episodes 3 (Azuma Morisaki) and 4 ( Shun'ichi Kobayashi) were directed by Yōji Yamada, who also wrote (or co-wrote) all the screenplays. Each film featured a different leading lady, called a Madonna, and a different region of Japan. (There were also episodes that featured scenes in Arizona and Vienna.) Two films were usually made each year between 1969 and 1989, one for summer and one for New Year release. From 1990 to 1995 only one film was made each year, for New Year release.
