Nacala-a-Velha District
Nacala-a-Velha District is a Districts of Mozambique, district of Nampula Province in north-eastern Mozambique. The area of the district is 1,720 km2. It is bounded on the north by Memba District, on the northwest by Nacaroa District, on the east by Monapo District, on the south by Mossuril District, on the southeast by Nacala District, and on the east by Fernao Veloso Bay. The population of the district is 106,543 (2012 census). The district is divided into two administrative posts (''list of postos of Mozambique, postos''), Nacala-a-Velha (pop. 80,155), and Covo, Mozambique, Covo (pop. 26,387)."Perfil do Distrito de Nacala Província de Nampula". Nampula Province
Nampula is a province of northern Mozambique. It has an area of and a population of 5,758,920, making it the most populous province in Mozambique (2017 census). Nampula is the capital of the province. History Under Portuguese rule this province was named Moçambique but with independence, the name Mozambique was used for the entire country and the province renamed for its capital. The island, Ilha de Moçambique, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. Massive refugee movements due to 15 years of civil war have destroyed a unique coexistence of many cultures on this island. Geography Nampula Province is located in northeastern Mozambique. Mozambique

Mossuril District
Mossuril District is a district of Nampula Province in north-eastern Mozambique based in the principal town of the same name. Mossuril is a coastal district located in the Bay of Mossuril. It is eight kilometres from Mozambique Island by boat or approximately 51 kilometres by road. The district is said to be home to the oldest surviving European building in the Southern Hemisphere, the church of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios in the village of Cabaceira. The beaches of Chocas Mar, at the far tip of the district, are also a popular tourist attraction. The End of the Road Festival (Portuguese: Festival Fim do Caminho) is an annual film festival that takes place in August that is held in Mossuril, Mozambique Island and Nampula, and headquartered in Mossuril. Nacala District
Nacala, also known as Cidade de Nacala or Nacala-Porto is a city on the northern coast of Mozambique. Located in the southwestern indentation of inner Fernao Veloso Bay, it is the deepest natural port on the east coast of Africa. Nacala serves as the terminal for the Nacala railway, a rail line to the landlocked Malawi. South of Nacala is Mozambique Island, at one time the capital of Mozambique and now a World Heritage site. Fernao Veloso Bay
Fernao Veloso Bay ( pt, Baía de Fernão Veloso) is a bay in Mozambique. It is located in Nampula Province, south of Memba Bay on the northern coast of Mozambique. Currently the bay is a popular tourist area, having some fine beaches and diving spots. Geography Fernao Veloso Bay is open towards the east and has deep inlets in the northwestern and southwestern corners of the inner bay. Nacala-a-Velha
Nacala-a-Velha, is a town on the northern coast of Mozambique. It is located on the western shore of inner Fernao Veloso Bay, opposite the city of Nacala. Nacala-a-Velha is the site of a large marine coal terminal which opened in January 2016. The terminal is operated by the Port of Nacala, but physically separate from the commercial port across the bay. The Nacala railway links the coal terminal to the coalfields at Moatize in Tete Province. Coal is loaded from trains onto ships at Nacala-a-Velha for export to other countries.
